A Historian's Perspective

Since the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, historians have been asked for their perspective on the historic occasion of the end of the longest reign in British history and the future for the British monarchy with the accession of Charles III.

With this celebration back in the city's calendar at the end of the month, we celebrate recent work by Professors in Ancient History, Lloyd Llewellyn-Jones and Shaun Tougher.

Their chapter 'Alexander the gay and the gloryhole that was Greece' features in Stoneman's A History of Alexander The Great in World Culture, out with Cambridge University Press.
