On Friday, colleagues from MPCT Schools attended the National Memorial Arboretum to commemorate and remember Operation TELIC.
A special thank you to Mike Porter Nash, Jon Patrice and Michael Dodd for representing the team and paying their respects.
It was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made and to recognise just how much we ask of our Armed Forces, acknowledging their dedication and service.

We’re NOT your average college.
At MPCT, students don’t just sit in classrooms, they build confidence, resilience, discipline and leadership through real experiences and practical learning.
This week alone, learners at MPCT Stoke took part in:
🔥 Drill
🔥 Fieldcraft
🔥 Team-building
🔥 Military insight sessions with the Coldstream Guards
Our students develop life skills, fitness, employability and the mindset needed to succeed in the Armed Forces and beyond.
If you’re aged 16+ and want more than a traditional college experience, MPCT could be the place for you.
Step out of your comfort zone. Build your future. Become part of something bigger.

Great to see some fantastic engagement this morning as our Sunderland academies came together for an inter-academy football match ⚽
Learners from both our Construction and Military Academies took part in a positive, high-energy game that showcased teamwork, communication and resilience – all key skills we aim to develop across our programmes.
It was a great opportunity to step away from the classroom, build relationships across academies and enjoy some well-earned fun, with even staff getting involved!
Opportunities like this play an important role in creating a supportive and motivating environment for our learners, helping them grow both personally and professionally.
As for the final score… we’ll let the Construction Academy keep that one quiet 😉
