We are SO proud, as a small business, to have raised £500 for PKD! 💛

PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) is a genetic condition that causes cysts to develop in the kidneys, which can affect kidney function and, for many people, can eventually lead to kidney failure. It’s a charity and cause that is very close to our hearts, so being able to raise £500 through our little business means so much to us. 🥹

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are pleased to let you know that, following a further review of the weather forecast, current temperatures and a final risk assessment, both Cwtch settings will reopen as normal tomorrow.

We would like to thank you all for your patience, understanding and support over the past two days. We appreciate that the temporary closures caused disruption to many families, and we are incredibly grateful for the kindness and understanding shown while we prioritised the safety and wellbeing of both the children and our staff.

The decision to reopen has been made following careful consideration of the improved weather conditions and confirmation that we are able to provide a safe and suitable environment for everyone within our settings.

As a reminder, any sessions missed due to the closures can be rearranged during the school holidays from 22nd July onwards, subject to availability. If you would like to book a replacement session, please speak to a member of the management team.

We are looking forward to welcoming all our children and families back tomorrow and returning to our normal routine.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Following a further review of the weather forecast, room temperatures within both Cwtch settings, and our ongoing risk assessment, we have made the difficult decision to close both settings on Thursday 25th June.

We understand that this will be disappointing and may cause inconvenience for families, and this is certainly not a decision we have taken lightly. However, after monitoring temperatures throughout today and considering the forecast for tomorrow, we do not believe that we can provide a safe and comfortable environment for the children and staff in our care.

The safety and wellbeing of our children and team must always come first. This decision has been made in accordance with our health and safety responsibilities and safeguarding duties, following a thorough assessment of the risks posed by the current and forecast temperatures within the settings.

We would like to thank all of our families for their patience, understanding and support over the last couple of days. We know that unexpected closures can be challenging, and we are incredibly grateful for your understanding while we prioritise the wellbeing of everyone within our nursery community.

At this time, we are hoping to re-open as normal on Friday 26th June.

❗️IMPORTANT NOTICE❗️

Dear Parents and Carers,

Following a thorough risk assessment of both Cwtch settings and in light of the extreme hot weather forecast, we have made the difficult decision to close the setting on Wednesday 24th June.

The safety and wellbeing of the children and staff in our care is always our highest priority. Despite implementing a range of measures to reduce temperatures within the setting, room temperatures are currently exceeding 30°C and are expected to rise further. After reviewing the risks associated with these conditions, we do not believe it is possible to maintain a safe and suitable environment for children and staff throughout the day.

This decision has been made in accordance with our health and safety responsibilities and safeguarding duties, following a thorough assessment of the risks posed by the current and forecast temperatures within the nursery.

We will continue to closely monitor both the weather forecast and temperatures within the setting and will review arrangements for Thursday 25th June tomorrow. Parents and carers will be informed of our decision regarding Thursday’s session no later than 2:00pm on Wednesday.

We understand that this decision may cause inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and support. Any sessions missed as a result of the closure will be offered as replacement sessions during the school holidays, subject to availability and prior booking with the management team.

While we recognise the impact this may have on families, our foremost responsibility is to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the children and staff within our care.
