🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 This weekend, at the Welsh Outdoor Champs 2026, we were proud to present the Helen May Award to this year's worthy recipients, Hari Rowlands and Charlie Silvester 🙌

Helen was a ski mum who supported her son, Jonathan at almost every race. Whilst Jonathan raced for the Swansea Nomads, Helen was busy volunteering in various roles from running a BBQ to gate judging, always with a smile and always full of laughter. Sadly, Helen died far too young and in her memory, Swansea Nomads dedicated this award to her memory. It has become the most cherished of all our awards, and is presented annually in recognition of achievements and/or sportsmanship - the only stipulation is that the recipients must live in Wales and ski for a welsh club. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🥰

Hari skis for West Wales Ski Club and Charlie skis for Cardiff Ski Club - both athletes are a great example of how the Snowsport Cymru Wales pathway works 👌 Congratulations Hari and Charlie!
