I can’t believe we’ve already been in our new home for three months! It’s been such a special time settling in and making it our own 🏡💛

I’m so excited to share that I have now begun my application to open my childminding business from home! 🎉 This has been a big goal of mine, and it feels amazing to finally be making it happen.

The application process can take a couple of months to complete, but it’s officially underway! As soon as I’ve submitted everything and have a clearer idea of possible opening dates, I’ll keep you all updated.

It’s been a little while since my last update, so I thought I’d share some exciting news with you all!

My property has officially sold, and I’m thrilled to say we’ve purchased a new one. I am aiming to be moved in before Christmas and ready to kick off renovations. Once that’s underway, I’ll be able to put in my application for the new property so I can begin to operate 🏡

I want to say a big thank you for all the ongoing enquiries and support, it truly means so much. 🫶🏽

I’m really looking forward to the new ventures that 2026 will bring, and as always, I’ll keep you all updated along the journey. 🎉

Hey all,

It’s been a while since my last update, and I wanted to keep you in the loop. Unfortunately, I have postponed my childminding services as I have recently put my house up for sale. Once I relocate within Pentwyn and set up my registration, I will let you know right away. Thank you to everyone who has enquired and shown support during this transition!

On a positive note, I’m pleased to share that I am now fully up to date with all my continuous professional development and am fully DBS checked. Here’s a quick rundown of my recent training:

While my childminding services are on hold for now, I am still available for babysitting at your own home.

Hi Everyone! Great news, my DBS is complete, and I'm just waiting on my husband's before I can hit the send button on my application. If you haven't reached out yet and would like to be added to the waiting list, please message me! Just a quick reminder to check the fees before joining the list.

Once I'm registered, I'll be applying for funded childcare and tax-free options. I’ll be operating on a part-time basis to start, specifically on Thursdays and Fridays, with plans to expand to more days in the future. Soon as I have a further update I will message those already on my list. 💓

🌟 Update Time! 🌟 - UPDATED 27.01.25

Getting there slowly but surely! The number of courses available is quite overwhelming, but I’m always eager to learn and make progress. I want to provide the very best care for every child that comes to me, just like any parent would want for their little ones!

I’ll keep you posted as we move into the new year. My application will be submitted as soon as my DBS check comes back. It’s a long process, but we’re making strides!

🌟 Exciting Updates from Georgia’s Tiny Tribe! 🌟

As many of you know, I’m in the process of getting everything ready for my childcare services, and it’s been quite the journey! I’m thrilled to share that I’ve completed my Paediatric First Aid, Health and Safety, and Food Hygiene certificates. I’m currently waiting for the certificates for Food Hygiene and Health and Safety so I can finalise my application.

I’m also in the midst of applying for my CRB check through CIW and have several courses lined up, including Fire Warden training, Managing Children Who Bite, Safeguarding, and Early Years Additional Learning Needs Implementation. As a parent of a child with a disability, I’m especially passionate about supporting families with additional needs, and I’m eager to share my knowledge!

I’m looking into a Makaton course as well, as I’ve started teaching myself to better communicate with my son.

As you know, I'm currently in the process of qualifying as a childminder and I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my certificates. These certificates are essential for me to start the process of becoming registered with CIW (Childcare Inspectorate Wales). I know it feels like it's taking forever, but I promise it won't be too much longer before they arrive! ❤️📃📚

While I'm waiting for the certificates, I wanted to talk to you all about something exciting - babysitters! I've been considering offering babysitting/Nannying service for the weekend evenings. I understand that families often need some extra support during those hours, whether it's to spend some quality time with your partner or to take care of older siblings while you focus on your little ones or new edition to the family! If this is something that you or someone you know would be interested in, please let me know. This service will be offered through bookings system so feel free to reach out and express your interest. 🧸 🎨 🖍️ (I do not need to be registered with CIW to offer this service so can start taking enquiries)

Additionally, I've been thinking about offering a special service just for weekends, where I can look after your little ones at your wedding with the correct ratio. I know how important and special weddings are, and I want to ensure that you have peace of mind knowing that your children are well taken care of during your celebration. I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! 🌟 Georgias Tiny Tribe childminding and Nanny service is delighted to announce that I have successfully completed all the necessary course work and professional discussions to become a qualified childminder! 🎓👩‍🏫

While I eagerly await my certificates, which can take up to 4 months to arrive if not longer, i’m wasting no time in taking the next steps towards providing exceptional care for your little ones. I will be diligently working through the appropriate bodies to register my home, which includes thorough home inspections to ensure the utmost safety and comfort for the children I will be privileged to care for. 🏡✨

I wanted to share some incredible updates with you all! I'm thrilled to announce that I'm in the final stages of qualifying as a childminder. 🎉 It's been a journey filled with dedication and hard work, and I'm almost there! After this stage, I'll be taking the necessary steps to undergo additional training, inspections to ensure I meet all the requirements to operate as needed.

Starting from January a little later than anticipated, I'll be opening my heart and home to welcome little ones into Georgia's Tiny Tribe. 🏠💕 Initially, I'll be offering part-time care, and as time goes on, I'll gradually increase my availability to accommodate more children and families.
