Calling all composers - applications to join the London Sinfonietta's 2027 Writing the Future scheme are now live. We seek four ambitious music creators to make a new work for the ensemble, which can then lead to an ongoing creative working relationship.

Applications for Soundhub 2026/27 are now open.

LSO are recruiting up to four composers to become Soundhub Members in 2026/27 and twenty composers to join as Soundhub Associates.

The deadline to apply is Monday 5 October 2026 4pm BST. Please see the Applications Guidelines for full details of the programme, eligability and application methods.

A platform for emerging composers to experiment and collaborate, with access to resources, support from industry professionals and LSO musicians and staff.

Leiria volta a afirmar-se como território de criação, inovação e talento jovem, com o lançamento de mais uma edição do Concurso Internacional de Composição Musical de Leiria, promovido pela Leiria Cidade Criativa da Música – UNESCO.

Sob o tema “Inteligência Artificial 2.0”, esta edição convida compositores de todo o mundo a explorar novas linguagens sonoras e a refletir sobre o diálogo entre criatividade humana, música e inteligência artificial.

Enquanto Cidade Criativa da Música UNESCO, Leiria assume o compromisso de criar oportunidades para os jovens compositores, estimular a experimentação e promover a música como espaço de inovação, conhecimento e construção de novas ideias.

🌍 Aberto a compositores nacionais e estrangeiros, nascidos a partir de 1 de janeiro de 1983, o concurso contempla duas categorias:

🎷 Jazz
🎻 Música Erudita

📅 Candidaturas até 3 de novembro de 2026
🏆 1.º Prémio: 2.000 € em cada categoria
🥈 2.º Prémio: 1.000 € em cada categoria

🎶 As obras finalistas serão apresentadas no Festival Leiria Cidade Criativa da Música UNESCO, de 19 a 21 de fevereiro de 2027.
