Cartooning the First World War in Wales

Our Visual Culture of the First World War Conference was a great success. Cartooning the First World War in Wales visited the good ladies and gentlemen of the Gwent branch of the Western Front Association in Abergavenny last night to discuss things Staniforth. Such a wealth of knowledge about the war and how it affected Wales. Here's hoping they'll be good friends to the project.

Last week's Project Steering Group and Management Board meetings went very well. Lots of great ideas and plenty of optimism and excitement about the project.

Looking forward to the first Project Steering Group meeting tomorrow, 16 January 2014, with Professor Chris Williams, Dr Angela Gaffney, Dr Rhianydd Biebrach, Professor Lorna Hughes, Dinah Jones, Dr Toby Thacker, Dr Gethin Matthews and Dr Nick Hiley. Lots of exciting ideas to share about the project and what we hope to achieve in the next 12 months, and lots of brains to get in one room!
