If you haven't visited our new website yet please take a look. You can search all Staniforth's cartoons from the end of July 1914 to the end of November 1915 and more are being uploaded all the time. Each cartoon is accompanied by a commentary, but we need more volunteers to help us with this so please get in touch if you're interested. www.cartoonww1.org.

Brilliant news! The Wales Millennium Centre will be hosting the Cartooning the First World War exhibition to coincide with their production of Warhorse during June and July. Don't miss this great opportunity to get up close and personal with JMS!

Cartooning the First World War in Wales visited the good ladies and gentlemen of the Gwent branch of the Western Front Association in Abergavenny last night to discuss things Staniforth. Such a wealth of knowledge about the war and how it affected Wales. Here's hoping they'll be good friends to the project.

See these cartoons for Staniforth's take on the Zeppelin raids of this week in 1915. Did the Welsh public share his apparent mixture of outrage and scorn?

Last week's Project Steering Group and Management Board meetings went very well. Lots of great ideas and plenty of optimism and excitement about the project.

Looking forward to the first Project Steering Group meeting tomorrow, 16 January 2014, with Professor Chris Williams, Dr Angela Gaffney, Dr Rhianydd Biebrach, Professor Lorna Hughes, Dinah Jones, Dr Toby Thacker, Dr Gethin Matthews and Dr Nick Hiley. Lots of exciting ideas to share about the project and what we hope to achieve in the next 12 months, and lots of brains to get in one room!
