🌍🤎 International Mud Day at Little Friends Nursery! 🤎🌍
Today, our little explorers celebrated International Mud Day in the best way possible – by getting wonderfully muddy!
From digging and splashing to creating muddy masterpieces, our children embraced the joy of messy play, using their imagination, working together, and exploring the natural world. There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of muddy memories made along the way!
At Little Friends Nursery, experiences like these are about so much more than having fun. They are embedded in the Non Maintained Curriculum for Wales by providing authentic, play-based learning opportunities that nurture the Four Purposes.
🌱 Ambitious, capable learners – Children explored, investigated, problem-solved, and developed their curiosity through hands-on discovery.
🤝 Healthy, confident individuals – Outdoor play encouraged physical development, resilience, confidence, and supported positive wellbeing through active learning in nature.
🌍 Ethical, informed citizens– Spending time outdoors helped children develop an appreciation for the natural environment and understand the importance of caring for the world around them.
🎨 Enterprising, creative contributors– Mud became a canvas for imagination, creativity, collaboration, and communication as children shared ideas and created together.
Messy play is a powerful way for children to learn, develop, and thrive. Today is a point proven where some of the best learning happens when we're free to explore, experiment, and get our hands dirty!
Happy International Mud Day from everyone at Little Friends Nursery! 🤎🪣👣
