Calling all teachers! 📣

Looking for a fun way to kick off the year and get your pupils active? We've got just the thing… 🐻

We're inviting schools across our region to take on A Mile 4 Miles and help him with his Big Mission!

Get your pupils together and:
🚶 Walk, run or skip a mile
💚 Raise money to help keep our crews flying
🚁 If your school raises £500 or more, you'll have the chance to submit a name for our new helicopter!

Your little ones may have seen one of our helicopters land at their school. Now, they can play a part in keeping them flying and supporting the crews who respond when people need them most!

Just imagine a name chosen by your pupils flying across our region and helping save lives every day.

🚨 Got a brilliant idea? Get up to £1,000 to make it happen! 💷 Tag a community group, volunteer or someone who's always making TS6 a better place

This is the first step in delivering the £20 million Pride in Place funding that Labour secured and ringfenced for TS6.

The new TS6 Together Small Grants scheme is now open, with grants of up to £1,000 available to support local projects, community groups and ideas that will make a real difference where you live.

Local people know the little things that can transform an area - whether that's a mural, a community BBQ, new planting, litter-picking equipment or improving a shared space. Small ideas can make a big difference.

This is just the beginning. It's a small part of the wider £20 million investment, but it's about getting funding into the hands of local people quickly so we can start seeing change on our streets and estates.

⏰ Applications close at 12 noon on 31 July.

We are proud to be working with Route1 Coffee House and Cleveland School Sport Partnership CIC on the bike recycle scheme. Getting more people on bikes. Thanks to British Cycling for recycle hubs funding. 👏🏻🚴🚴‍♀️

Route 1 Coffee House CIC is Now an Official "Lloyds ReCycle Hub"!
​We are thrilled to announce a major milestone for Route 1 Coffee House CIC and the wider Redcar and Cleveland community. Through our ongoing collaboration with Cleveland School Sport Partnership CIC and Redcar & Eston School Sports Partnership CIC, we have officially teamed up with British Cycling and Lloyds to become a certified Lloyds ReCycle Hub!

​This exciting initiative is designed to make cycling more accessible while promoting sustainability across our region.

As another fantastic school year comes to an end, we just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU! ❤️

What a year it’s been! From festivals and competitions to leadership, training and clubs, together we’ve helped children and young people across Redcar & Eston get active, build confidence, try new things and, most importantly, have fun! 🎉

None of it would have been possible without the amazing support, enthusiasm and dedication of our schools and partners. You really do make a difference every single day. 🌟

We’re so proud of everything we’ve achieved together and can’t wait to do it all again in September. Until then… enjoy a well-deserved summer break! 🥳

Rye Hills Academy Go Lead Girls Football Leaders have been extremely busy this term planning their Year 6 Girls Football Festival, to support with transition, and last Friday they finally got to deliver it! 🥳

They invited the whole of Year 6 from local primary schools who enjoyed a full morning of football activities and friendly matches! ⚽️

A fantastic end to the week for our Year 9 Mixed Touch Rugby team! 🏉

Last week the team delivered an outstanding performance at the T1 regional finals, enjoying a dominant morning session and remaining unbeaten throughout their group matches. Their excellent teamwork, skill and game management secured a place in the championship group for the afternoon.

Facing tougher opposition in the final stages of the competition, the team showed tremendous resilience, determination and work ethic. Despite some closely contested matches, they ultimately finished in an impressive 3rd place.

This achievement is a real testament to the talent, tenacity and teamwork displayed by every player throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school. Well done, everyone! 👏🏉🥉
