It’s been a busy couple of weeks in Ty George! 🌱🍓

ZA and the staff team have been hard at work caring for all of their lovely homegrown fruit and vegetables. It’s been brilliant watching everything grow and seeing all that time, effort and care starting to pay off.

We can’t wait to see what the garden produces next!

Another beautiful day, another group adventure for the Ty Carreg team! ☀️

The gentlemen at Ty Carreg headed to Margam Park for a picnic after their group swim, making the most of the Welsh sunshine, good food and even better company.

Pupils and staff at Ty Trafle School went head-to-head in their End of Year Colour Fest, with the Red Team and Blue Team battling it out across a series of challenges, from tarp flips and balloon battles to a very wet colour splash!

After a closely fought final game of rounders, the Blue Team took the win!

Pupils picked up certificates for all categories at the end of the day, from Most Valued Player to Sportsmanship, before they headed back to school for a well-deserved ice lollies.

A sunny afternoon, good company and a trip to the local pub – a great way to spend the day! ☀️🍽️

The gents from TY Carreg enjoyed getting together for some food, soft drinks and plenty of laughs at their local pub. It was a fantastic opportunity to spend time together, catch up and enjoy another community outing.

This term, pupils at Ty Trafle School have been stepping beyond the classroom as part of their Real World Experiences topic, developing valuable life skills through a range of practical, hands-on activities. 🌍

From flying kites and using bus timetables to planning travel routes, exploring their local community and meeting a variety of animals, each experience has been designed to build confidence, independence and resilience.

These real-life opportunities have helped pupils strengthen their problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills, while encouraging them to challenge themselves and embrace new experiences.

It's been fantastic to see our pupils grow in confidence throughout the term as they continue developing the skills they'll use in everyday life.

Special congratulations goes to our ASPIRE Award winner, LW, who has shown fantastic growth in independence and will be moving on to college this September. We are so proud of you all!

There was plenty to celebrate at Coed Parc recently, as B achieved a milestone that had been months in the making.

After much preparation and hard work by the Coed Parc team, B visited his brother, UB, at Ty Seren for the very first time. Having mum join them for the visit made the occasion even more special.

While B's brother and mum regularly visit Coed Parc, this visit marked an important step towards a personal goal that B had been working towards, and he absolutely smashed it.

A huge well done to B, and thank you to everyone who helped make this special moment possible.
