General information
Having loved music from an early age I started singing in my county children's choir 10 years old. Realising how much I loved singing I applied for and received a music services scholarship to study singing privately at age 15. I then completed all my grades up to grade 8 by the time I was 18 whilst also being very involved with the local youth theatre where I was lucky enough to play some fantastic roles.
I then trained as a classical singer and graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2008. Whilst at college I studied under the renowned Tim Rhys Evans, the founder and conductor of Only Men Aloud and I was a member of the choir, Serendipity, also conduted by Tim. Since then I have become the lead vocalist for the Cardiff based salsa band - Fiesta Resistance - and have gigged nationally with them.
Since graduating I have continued to learn about different vocal techniques and have particularly specialised in musical theatre. I have also worked professionally as an actress in both musical theatre and straight theatre.
I have continued my learning with Tim Richards who is a teacher in London, Bristol, South Wales and Finland. He has worked with many recording artists, pop singers and theatre singers and is a CMT in Estill. Through him I have been exposed to and studied aspects of the Estill Method and furthermore I have discovered my love of teaching singing, the mechanics and artistry of the voice and making it available and fun for everyone.
