Friends of Rhiwbeina is the PTA for Rhiwbeina Primary School Friends of Rhiwbeina is the Parent-Teacher Association for Rhiwbeina Primary School.

Our mission is to provide extra funds for the school, and to create a community of parents that demonstrates the values incumbent in the school. Think of the PTA as enabling the school to be "better, faster". Tax will pay for most things, but funds have to be prioritised. The PTA funds enable the school to renew, replace or upgrade facilities sooner, and enable it to adopt newer initiatives earlie

💙 What a Year! 💙

As another school year comes to an end, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Rhiwbeina Primary PTA.

Whether you’ve volunteered your time, attended an event, donated prizes, sponsored activities, baked cakes, bought raffle tickets or simply came along to support, you’ve helped make this year such a success.

Together we’ve enjoyed discos, family events, the Fun Run, Break the Rules Day and so much more, while raising valuable funds to support our school and enrich the children’s experience.

None of it would be possible without our wonderful school community.

We hope you all have a fantastic summer and look forward to seeing you again in September for another exciting year of PTA events! ☀️

💙 Thank You 💙

As another school year comes to an end, we’d like to say a very special thank you to some incredible members of our PTA family.

After many years as PTA Chair, Vicky Normansell is stepping down.

It’s impossible to measure the impact Vicky has had on our school. Through her dedication, passion and countless hours of volunteering, she has helped raise many thousands of pounds for Rhiwbeina Primary, creating opportunities, experiences and memories for every child.

From Christmas Fayres and discos to Fun Runs and family events, Vicky has been at the heart of so much that our school community enjoys. Behind every successful event has been an incredible amount of unseen work, and we’re so grateful for everything she has given over the years.

We’d also like to thank Jade for her fantastic leadership and support as PTA Chair, and to all of our amazing volunteers, especially our Year 6 families who are moving on this summer. Your time, energy and generosity have helped make the PTA what it is today.

As we say goodbye to some familiar faces, we’d love to welcome some new ones in September. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, whether that’s joining the PTA or helping at the occasional event, we’d love to hear from you. Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue creating amazing opportunities for our children.

Thank you, Vicky, Jade and every single volunteer who’s helped make this year so special. 💙

📚 Could you help us inspire our next generation of readers?

Earlier this year, our Years 3–6 pupils helped create wish lists of the books they’d love to see in their classroom book boxes. Alongside books purchased by the PTA, we’d love to give families the opportunity to donate a book if they’re able.

If you’d like to help grow our collection, you’ll find the Amazon Wish Lists via the links in our bio.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of the PTA. Every fundraiser and every donation helps create even more opportunities for our children. 💙

🚨 Rule Breakers… We Have a Result! 🚨

It turns out breaking the rules really does pay…

Thanks to all of our brilliant rule breakers, Break the Rules Day raised an amazing £1,787! 🎉

From crazy hair and odd socks to pudding before lunch and toys in school, you embraced the challenge and helped raise valuable funds for Rhiwbeina Primary.

📚 Fancy helping us break one more rule? (Who says you can’t buy books during the summer holidays? 😉)

Our Years 3–6 children have helped create Amazon wish lists full of books they’d love to see in their classroom book boxes. If you’d like to donate a book, you can do so through the link in the bio.

Thank you for being such fantastic rule breakers… just don’t make a habit of it! 💙
