Breaking Down Barriers Through British Sign Language ๐ŸคŸ

At Learning Curve Group Schools, we are proud to offer British Sign Language and Deaf Awareness training designed to help schools, organisations and communities become more inclusive and confident in communicating with Deaf people.

Our training is delivered by a dedicated Deaf BSL instructor with over 20 yearsโ€™ experience in Deaf education, BSL as a first language, strong links within the Deaf community and lived experience of Deaf culture. This means our sessions go beyond simply learning signs โ€” they help build genuine understanding, awareness and confidence.

We can offer BSL taster sessions, Deaf Awareness workshops and accredited BSL qualifications, with programmes tailored around the needs of your organisation.

Communication is a basic human right, and for many Deaf people BSL is their first or preferred language. By improving our understanding of BSL and Deaf culture, we can create environments where everyone feels welcomed and included.

As the academic year comes to a close, our learners from Llantwit Major School / Ysgol Llanilltud Fawr and Cowbridge School enjoyed a well-deserved final day of term with MPCT by making the most of the sunshine with a BBQ on the beautiful Llantwit Major Beach. ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ”

The day was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work, commitment and achievements of all the learners throughout the year. They have represented themselves, their schools and MPCT brilliantly and should be incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished.

Exciting news from MPCT Wrexham!
Today, MPCT Wrexham proudly launched our pilot iDEA Award scheme, giving learners the opportunity to develop valuable digital and employability skills alongside their studies.
All of our learners got signed up today and wasted no time getting started, with everyone already earning their first digital badges. A fantastic achievement and a brilliant start to the programme!
The iDEA (Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award) provides nationally recognised digital badges and awards, helping learners build skills in digital literacy, cyber security, enterprise, employability and much more.
Weโ€™re excited to be part of this pilot and canโ€™t wait to see our learners continue progressing through the awards over the coming weeks and months.
Well done to everyone for embracing this new opportunity!

โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ŽDespite the hot weather, our learners stayed motivated, got involved, and gave 100% throughout the day.๐Ÿฅต

The learners created posters based on the Code of Conduct, took time to reflect on how MPCT has helped them develop both personally and professionally, and finished with a spaghetti and marshmallow bridge-building challenge that tested their problem-solving skills.

Well done to everyone involved and a brilliant effort from all!

A huge congratulations to three of our learners from Cowbridge School who have successfully completed their first year with MPCT Schools and have been presented with certificates in recognition of their hard work, commitment and achievements throughout the year.

All three learners have successfully completed their BTEC Level 2 Workskills Qualification and should be incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished. They have been an absolute credit to Cowbridge School, their families and, most importantly, themselves.

It has been a pleasure to teach them and to watch them grow in confidence, develop new skills and flourish over the past academic year. Their attitude, resilience and dedication have been fantastic to see.

We look forward to welcoming them back next academic year as they continue their journey with us and work towards achieving another qualification.

Well done all โ€“ enjoy your summer, youโ€™ve earned it! ๐Ÿ‘

From classroom learning to outdoor application! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿชข

Our learners from Cynffig Comprehensive School - Official have been developing new practical skills by first learning how to tie a range of different knots in the classroom before putting those skills into practice outdoors.

Working together, the learners used their newly acquired knot-tying techniques to build shelters, demonstrating excellent teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills throughout the activity.

It was fantastic to see the learners applying their knowledge in a real-life scenario, showing resilience, creativity and determination to complete the challenge.

A great example of learning in action and another successful day of developing skills for life! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ•๏ธ
