🕵️♂️🏆 Scavenger Hunt Challenge – Bridgend Town Centre! 🏆🕵️♀️
Today, our Pencoedtre High School learners swapped the classroom for the streets of Bridgend as they took part in a teamwork scavenger hunt challenge! 📸
Their mission was to work together to complete a range of photo challenges, including finding local landmarks, spotting Welsh pride, uncovering historical buildings over 100 years old, and showing their creativity with some fun bonus tasks.
This activity tested so many important skills, including:✅ Teamwork✅ Communication✅ Leadership✅ Problem solving✅ Critical thinking
The learners showed fantastic enthusiasm throughout the challenge, supporting each other to collect as many points as possible and completing some brilliant team photos along the way.
A great way to get out into the community, explore the history of Bridgend, and put their teamwork skills into action. 👏
Well done to everyone involved! 🌟

⭐️ Learner of the week⭐️
Pencoedtre High School
I am pleased to present Walker with this award in recognition of his outstanding effort throughout the course. Not just this week, but consistently over the past seven weeks, he has demonstrated true leadership qualities.
He has shown excellent commitment by attending every session, engaging fully in all activities, and setting a positive example for others. His attitude, effort, and willingness to lead by example have not gone unnoticed.
Da iawn, a very well‑deserved achievement.

Cwmtawe Community School Learners took part in a Mock Interview Activity, and they were absolutely fantastic.
They showed confidence, maturity and respect while asking and answering interview-style questions. What stood out most was how well they bought into the activity, supported each other and gave it their best effort.
Mock interviews are a brilliant way for learners to build real-life skills such as communication, confidence, body language, listening and giving feedback. These are skills that will support them not only in future interviews, but also in work, education and everyday life.
A huge well done to all learners involved. It takes courage to step out of your comfort zone, speak in front of others and reflect on your own performance.
