From grooming and caring for the horses at Cardiff Riding School to enjoying their very first ride, today was packed full of new experiences and achievements for our learners.

Building confidence, developing animal care skills, exploring nature on our walks, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Watching learners step out of their comfort zones and achieve something new is what it’s all about. 💚

🏍️🔧 Monday Mechanics & Motocross 🔧🏍️

New week, new skills, new challenges! 💪

Our learners kicked off the week in the workshop developing their mechanics knowledge, carrying out bike checks and maintenance before putting those skills into practice out on track. From turning spanners to twisting throttles, every session is packed with opportunities to learn, grow and build confidence.

It’s not just about riding bikes it’s about teamwork, responsibility, problem solving and achieving success both in the workshop and on the track. 👊

🏁🔧 Friday Mechanics Learners – New Skills Unlocked! 🔧🏁

Another action-packed day for our Friday learners as they continued to develop both their riding and workshop skills! 💪

Out on track, riders were working on jumping techniques, body positioning, and race starts, building confidence and control on the bike. 🏍️💨

Back in the workshop, learners got hands-on with chain maintenance, learning how to remove and replace chain links correctly, along with the importance of regular bike checks and maintenance before riding. ⚙️🔩

From the workshop to the track, every session is about developing practical skills, confidence, and responsibility while having fun along the way.

What a fantastic day with both our Junior Steps learners and secondary school learners enjoying everything our Animal Care programme has to offer! 🙌

From grooming and yard duties to pony rides, caring for the animals, and exploring the outdoors on nature walks, our learners developed confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and practical animal care skills throughout the day.

It’s amazing to see young people building positive relationships with animals while learning valuable life skills in a safe and supportive environment. 💚

A brilliant way to end the week, with plenty of smiles, fresh air, and hands on learning! 🐎🍃

Rain or shine, our learners keep pushing forward! Today was all about teamwork, resilience, and supporting each other out on the trails. From preparing the bikes to tackling the challenging conditions, everyone played their part and showed great determination throughout the day.

Learning new skills, building confidence, and working together as a team – that’s what Vocational Education Cardiff is all about. 👊

The weather may have thrown everything at us today, but our learners showed fantastic resilience and determination throughout the session. From getting stuck into motorcycle maintenance in the workshop to braving the rain out on the bikes, the effort and attitude on display were outstanding.

Days like today build more than skills they build confidence, teamwork, problem-solving and the resilience needed to overcome challenges both on and off the track. 👏🔧💪
