Cardiff Banjo

12/08/2026

Heya pals and pickers,

I am trying a new form of an availability calendar, where you can quite easily block off the dates you would like a lesson - you book ahead and amend based on your availability.

You are still welcome to drop me an email and I can slot things in for you.

I will be switching to a fortnightly system, mainly as that seems to be the trend these days and it should help me keep all my teaching days together.

Give it a try and see what you think!

Hope everyone is keeping cool out there.

A lot of cool things coming to Cardiff - especially if you like country, bluegrass and old time.

Banjos at 2/3 of these, but you should definitely check them all out!

You like twang, banjos and fiddle tunes?

We are working hard at bringing you world class music that scratches that itch.

From the Australian Queen of Bluegrass and her Nashville band, home grown Country drive now based in Cornwall but making a visit home, and some of the best Old Time banjo and fiddle music on the UK scene today.

We are announcing them all nice and early, so get your tickets and we can keep bringing more to the lovely Canopi Cardiff!

** we are trialing a tiered ticket system for all shows, so you can choose the amount that works for you **

bit of a different one here.

All you banjo and bluegrass fans, I am bringing a bit of world class bluegrass music over from North Carolina - Hank, Pattie & the Current are making ONE Welsh stop, and it is here in Cardiff.

You won't see better bluegrass than this on a Tuesday in Wales.

If you are looking for some amazing banjo inspiration, you should come along!

Feels like a lifetime ago when I was in the Deering Catalogue 😅

Something about when our friend and Deering Artist Darren Eedens & the Slim Pickin's picks up a tenor banjo 👌.

Darren is playing his Eagle II 19 Fret Tenor A/E banjo.
