METSOVO — WHERE MUSIC LIVES 🇬🇷
While exploring Metsovo, we discovered a musical tradition that is still very much alive today.
One of the town’s notable musicians is Mpaos ( Κώστας Μπάος) , a professional clarinetist and teacher born in Metsovo. He learned the clarinet from his father, Avgerinos Mpaos , a respected performer of Metsovo’s traditional music.
Tomorrow Kostas Mpaos will be performing right here in Metsovo ,keeping a musical tradition connected to generations of local musicians 🎶
For a musician and teacher, discovering a place where music, family and cultural heritage come together is inspiring.
Metsovo — beautiful, authentic, and still singing. ❤️🎵

🇭🇷🎹 There’s a musical story hidden in Dubrovnik…
Most people know Dubrovnik for its beautiful old town and stunning views. But there is another side to the city that I found fascinating.
Luka Sorkočević (1734–1789) was born in Dubrovnik and became known as the first Croatian symphonist. He studied music in Rome and was a contemporary of Haydn and Gluck.
And just a few steps away, the famous Jesuit Steps became one of the most iconic Game of Thrones locations — the setting for Cersei Lannister’s unforgettable “Walk of Shame”.
Music, history and cinema — all in one place. 🎶

🎼 Nikolaos Halikiopoulos Mantzaros Music Museum, Corfu 🇬🇷
During my visit to Corfu, I visited the Nikolaos Halikiopoulos Mantzaros Music Museum, dedicated to the composer of the music for the Greek National Anthem.
The museum features original manuscripts, musical instruments, personal belongings, and historical documents that celebrate Mantzaros’ life and his contribution to Greek classical music.
As a pianist, it was a privilege to visit a place dedicated to one of Greece’s greatest composers.
