🎹A little journey through piano history in Brussels 🇧🇪

The Musical Instruments Museum (MIM) has an incredible collection of historic harpsichords, early pianos and beautiful keyboard instruments.
As a pianist, I loved seeing how the piano evolved through the centuries.

A little memory from Salzburg ❤️

An evening at Kapitelplatz, enjoying Mozart’s music as part of the Salzburg Festival.

Opera under the open sky, with the Cathedral and the fortress in the background , such a beautiful atmosphere. 🎶❤️

🇮🇹 Milan, Verdi & La Scala 🎼

Milan has a very special place in the history of Italian music.

Verdi made his debut at La Scala in 1839. A few years later, in 1842, Nabucco was performed here, and “Va, pensiero” became one of the melodies forever connected with his name.

Walking around Milan and seeing La Scala, Verdi’s name suddenly feels much more real. You realise that these are not just names from music history — this is the city where it actually happened.

🇭🇷 Zadar — where the sea makes music 🌊🎶

The Sea Organ (Morske orgulje) is a unique musical installation designed by architect Nikola Bašić.

Waves passing through 35 pipes beneath the marble steps create ever-changing sounds — a melody written by the Adriatic itself.

No musician. No score. Just the sea. 🌊🎵

🇩🇪 Freiburg — a city of music

Freiburg has a distinctive place in the musical history of Germany.
Julius Weismann (1879–1950) was born here. A composer and pianist, he left an extensive catalogue of operas, orchestral works, concertos and chamber music.
The city’s musical tradition continues at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, founded in 1946.

Freiburg is also home to the Freiburger Barockorchester, founded in 1985 mainly by students of the Hochschule. The ensemble has since become internationally recognised for historically informed performance.
