We’re proud to see young people from our partners at Newport Youth Academy taking part in this year’s TeenChef final! 👏

Two teams, Barretts Carrots and Mission Impastable, will go head-to-head at Newport Food Festival, showcasing their culinary skills and putting their own Welsh twist on some tasty dishes.

It’s a brilliant opportunity for young people to build confidence, develop new skills and experience the excitement of a live competition.

On your marks, get set, bake!

It’s our fourth annual Great ACT Bake-Off, all-in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

This year, the competition was fierce, our judges took their jobs very seriously, and they crowned not one, but two winners!

A huge congratulations to Jo Evans, winner of the Cracking Cake Award for the most showstopping cake, and to Louise Williams, who took home the Best Bake Award for their beautiful creation.

A big thank you to all the staff who took the time to bake these delicious treats and help us raise money for Macmillan.

We’re looking for a Health & Social Care Assessor to join our team, supporting learners across Powys through workplace visits, online learning and training sessions.

You’ll help learners build their skills, confidence and professional knowledge while working closely with employers throughout their apprenticeship journey.

If you have Health & Social Care experience, a minimum Level 3 qualification and a passion for helping others develop, we’d love to hear from you.

It’s been around a month since we welcomed our new ALS colleagues into the ACT family!

Today, our new team members had the opportunity to meet key members of the wider ACT team at a marketplace-style event, giving them the chance to learn more about the support, services and opportunities available across the organisation.

It was also a chance to celebrate 26 years of ALS and look ahead to the exciting future as ALS continues its journey as part of the ACT.

Learning outside the classroom!

Hadfield learners spent the day at Cynon Valley Organic Adventures, making the most of Janis’s knowledge and experience of sustainable growing. From eating grapes straight from the vine to picking blackcurrants to making their own jam and feeding the resident micro-pigs apples picked from the trees, learners had plenty of opportunities to get hands-on and discover more about sustainable growing.
