I’ve realised something…

Language learning doesn’t mean changing yourself to become a pretend citizen of another country. You don’t have to have the perfect accent, know all the grammar and references. Before, I used to get so irritated when someone said “Where are you from?” … like why couldn’t I be french?! But now, I embrace it. It’s an opportunity for me to share my culture and language with others who may both have known about it before!

What have you learned about language learning?

September in five Welsh words 🍂
A little Welsh for the turning of the season. 🌿🍁

1. Hydref = Autumn (same word for October)
2. Afal = Apple 🍎
3. Glaw = Rain (Mae hi’n bwrw glaw = It’s raining) ☔️
4. Oer = Cold 🥶
5. Cynnes = Warm (in a cosy way!) 🌤️
