✨ THE START OF A NEW ACADEMIC YEAR 22/23 ✨

Hi everyone 🙋🏻‍♀️ I haven’t posted on this account for such a long time! (I will try to be better this year!) The last academic year was an incredibly busy one- fully booked with lots of hardworking students! This year is very much set to be the same 😍

Good luck to all children (& parents) on the new academic year- starting school, maybe a new school, a new year group. It can be a fresh start but also a great time to build on previous work, attitudes & relationships. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and hardworking next year- keep persevering, keep believing & always be kind. I look forward to seeing all my students back 🥰 Sally x

Hi Everyone! Long time no speak!

I am going to try and make a conscious effort to post more on my social media outlets!
My students and I have been very busy working away for the last year and it is great to see so much progress being made. I have also had the pleasure of reading some school reports which have been lovely!

Not long till summer now with lots of children carrying on sessions which is great to see!

I have been very busy with sessions & have been fully booked for some time being the main one!

I’ve had the most amazing couple of weeks off spending time with the husband! & travelling round parts of the U.K but now I’m back and ready and raring to go with tutoring sessions starting today ☺️ I look forward to catching up with everyone over the next week.

✨ MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK ✨

With the ongoing global pandemic, children’s learning has been hit harder than ever with being in and out of school. But academics isn’t the only important thing... mental health matters too!
There has been lots of changes for children & lots of emotions to deal with. So much has changed for them, the way they socialise, the opportunities to socialise, the effect the pandemic has had on their parents, carers, loved ones... it’s a lot for a little person to deal with. So let’s make sure we are taking the time to look after our little people’s mental well-being! Lots of talking, honest conversations, play time and so on. There are so many great resources out there, let’s make sure we use them ❤️

I’ve been awfully quiet on here recently! I have had lots going on in my personal life & I am currently fully booked with tutoring, so lots of planning & teaching, but I wouldn’t have it any other way ❤️ I love what I do ❤️

I hope all of my families have an excellent Easter weekend together. All schools are off now & restrictions are slowly lifting so I hope everyone can have some well deserved fun!

✨ HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY ✨

I hope you all have a great day at school or home-schooling celebrating world book day. Whether it’s sharing a special book together, writing a book review, dressing up as your favourite character, writing an alternative ending to a story or acting out a favourite part of a book! The options are endless but all encourage the love of reading which is so important for our children ❤️📚

✨ MOTHER’S DAY ✨

Mother’s Day is approaching fast now we are nearly at the end of February. I spotted these lovely books in Tesco which were very reasonably priced! They have a gorgeous section in the back that you can get the child to personalise and fill in their thoughts about their mummy ❤️ I think this would make such a lovely personalised gift; affordable & adorable to read together ❤️🥰

What excellent news from Boris this evening for schools in England! Great for our children to be getting back in school... not only for their learning but for their mental health & socially!

In other news, I am now FULLY BOOKED 😱🥰 Thank you to everyone for your continued support... I absolutely love my job. The children I have been working with are amazing; hard-working, friendly & willing to learn! It all makes my job so easy. ✨ MIND-MAPPING ✨

A great session with one of my pupils today, starting to look at mind mapping for a character description.

Over the past month, this pupil & I have been looking at all elements involved in writing a story... characters, settings, plots, problems & some grammar elements. Now she has created some amazing ideas for her own story, I can’t wait to see all her plan come to life 😍📃📚
