Baking Production Operative
There is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing and fast-moving nutritional Foods Manufacturer. We are currently recruiting for a Baking Operative on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to work 39 hours per week, on a 2-shift rota pattern Monday to Friday.
Purpose of the Job
The Baking Operative will be responsible for the production of high-quality products in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment whilst ensuring that Food Safety, Quality standards are maintained. Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets whilst meeting efficiency and output targets.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensure that Food Safety is key at all times within all manufacturing processes and practices.
· Weighing up of ingredients in accordance with the recipe sheet.
Using the mixing bowl, weighing scales, oven etc.
· Completion of traceability paperwork; product information, identifying batch numbers, Best Before dates, etc. Complete in a timely manner and in accordance with timings outlined with the quality management systems and procedures.
· Complete daily tasks in accordance with Food Safety Standards, particularly in relation to; weight, measures, allergens and hygiene / cleaning.
· Stock management including; display boxes, labelling, date labels, etc.
· Demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
· General maintenance of machinery in line with skills and capabilities; cleaning, pre- starter checks, trouble shooting, etc.
· Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) particularly within hygiene & food safety.
· Offer reliability, have excellent time keeping and work ethics.
· Ability to operate a 'clean as we go' system.
· Operate machinery once training has been provided, ensuring that safe systems of work are being followed.
· Follow SOP's to ensure that internal and external guidelines are followed, and compliance is achieved.
· Complete quality checks to ensure the quality of products is within standard, and also for regulatory and compliance standards.
· Able to work as part of a team to ensure that targets and customer demands are met.
Qualifications and Skills
· Previous experience of working within a busy and fast paced manufacturing environment is essential.
· Previous experience of working within a food manufacturing environment is advantageous
· Good numeracy and literacy skills
· Good dexterity skills
· Food safety level 2 – desirable but not essential
· Health and safety level 2 – desirable but not essential
· Manual Handling
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £9.00 per hour

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and Shift Manager, the Packing Operative will be responsible for the production of high-quality products in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment whilst ensuring that Food Safety, Quality standards are maintained. Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets whilst meeting efficiency and output targets.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Stock management including; display boxes, labelling, date labels, etc.
· Completion of weight checks, metal detection checks, etc.
· Complete visual inspections of products (open food and closed food) ensuring products and packaging are compliant to customer and quality specifications.
· Demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace.

POSITION: Hygiene Operative
REPORTING TO: Shift Manager
Purpose of the Job
Reporting directly to the Shift Manager with a dotted line to the Compliance Manager, the role of a Hygiene Operative is a key role within the production and compliance departments. Ensuring that all areas are cleaned to internal and regulated standards, and this standard is maintained across all shifts. Operating a clean as we go system, ensuring that we are audit ready at any time. Reporting and escalating any issues and failings within the internal escalation procedure.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Carrying out daily and weekly hygiene tasks according to the cleaning schedule.
· Handle chemicals safely using COSHH standards.
· Record all activities on hygiene cleaning schedule.
· Comply with existing Cleaning Instruction Cards (CIC’s) and SOPs.
· Work closely with the manufacturing teams to identify key machinery and equipment that is in use and will need to be added to the cleaning rota for that day.
· Utilise cleaning equipment in accordance with operating instructions and safe working methods.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications
· Previous experience in a similar role.
· Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
· Professional awareness and approach towards health and safety / food safety
· Food Safety Level 2 in Manufacturing
· HACCP Level 2
· Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels both verbal and written.
· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Self-motivator and a team player. With the ability to work on own initiative.
· COSHH certified.
