Join Toastmaster Ehsan Azad for an adventure-themed meeting of the Cardiff Toastmasters at 7pm on 16th July at the Quaker Meeting House.

Be prepared for thrills and spills and speeches and table topics!

Helmets, kneepads and breathing apparatus not required!!

Congratulations to everyone who took part in our meeting on 2nd July.

Cosmin led the meeting with the very apt theme "The Power of the Sun!"

We had an amazing range of speeches. Yasaman gave an inspiring talk on the benefits of marriage.

And we saw both ends of the Presentation Mastery Pathway. Aisling gave us her icebreaker, and David his path completion.

We were delighted to welcome guests, including our new area director Sarah.

This was the first meeting under the new committee, who are all raring-to-go to provide a positive and constructive learning environment for our members and guests.

Another fantastic Toastmasters meeting recently, thanks to everyone who joined us!

We had a packed schedule of great speeches and evaluations, plus lively Table Topics… but the real star? Chris’ timekeeping spreadsheet 😅

Gareth lead the way as Toastmaster of the night. Aisling kicked things off with a fun warm-up, and Jean kept us on our toes with a great round of Table Topics.

Our prepared speeches were a fantastic mix of experience and insight. Uma delivered a reflective piece on learning maths, Yasaman gave her first ever icebreaker speech on relationships, Doug shared what he’s learned through his Toastmasters journey, and Evan wrapped things up with a thought-provoking speech on the risks of AI.

Whether you're just starting or building experience, it’s a great space here to practice and grow.

Lovely packed meeting this week, thank you to all for coming and getting involved.

It was a night to remember with 3 prepared speeches ranging from Andy’s speech on the Autumn budget using the new screen set up to Saed’s first icebreaker speech and another fun humourous speech from Yasmin.

We were also visited by Austrian toastmaster Marika who won Best Evaluator and a good number of returning guests. Well done to our winners and special mention to Saed with best speaker on his first icebreaker 👏👏👏
