What is ? Would you like to learn?
I'm looking at holding some in , on a variety of Permaculture topics; covering an Introduction to Permaculture, forest gardening & orchards, composting, vegetable & herb growing, no-dig gardening and more.
Are you in Cardiff, and would you be interested? Let me know below :)
Would you prefer a course that covers everything, or a series of modular classes on specific subjects? Which subjects?
Two to three hours a week, daytime or evening, or full days? Weekends or weekdays?
These would be classroom based at first, but I'm hoping to also offer practical outdoor sessions as well.
Suggestions welcome :)

pips are go! Poking through the soil already! :)
I've put a few more into the fridge; let's see how they go :)
I start my new teacher training courses on Tuesday :) If you'd like to help me pay the fees, please 'buy me a coffee' at https://ko-fi.com/feralfoxfoodscaping (link also in bio) :)

Updato! (Also !)
So, the most recent orange sweet potato was ready for repotting (I did take a pic of its mass of roots, but it didn't come out :p ), so while I was doing that, I also repotted the sprouted avocado :) It's looking like this sweet potato is the same as the second one I started, based on the leaves, but I'm hoping the purple ones are different to the one that's already growing; they were definitely different when cooked! :)
The purple sweet potato that I'd put into the tank has also got a decent amount of roots, but no shoots, as yet, but I've added another one to the tank, as well as rearranging all of the other avocado stones :) Two of them have also started to root, just about, and a few of the others are nearly there :)
Really, putting them in soil, in a warm place, is far more successful than the 'suspending over water' method!
I don't think I'll be starting any more sweet potatoes off after this, I'm running out of windowsill, plus I don't really have the space for growing them on (but I will probably donate a number of slips to this year's Splo-Grow event put on by & :) ) but it's still a fun experiment!

Quick update! :)
Still just the one (no sign of any others at all), and it's a little battered by the wind & rain, but still hanging on! The base seems more swollen too, which suggests to me that it has been !
We had a little fire Saturday night, and I poured the ash around the tree the next day, this will give it a nice boost of , great for fruit production! :)
There's still time to donate at https://ko-fi.com/feralfoxfoodscaping (link also in bio) to help me pay for my teacher training course which starts next week :) I really appreciate any and all help I get :)

A little over a month ago, on my course, our tutor suggested starting some pips off, just as an experiment.
We did, and then I did some at home (which is just as well, as she's now left!) These are from a :)
Apple seeds (like many others) require a certain amount of chilling, so after 30 days in the fridge (wrapped in damp kitchen paper and sealed in a plastic bag), I've just taken them out and planted them :)
As you can see, they've started to sprout! :) They're now sealed in the bag again, and on my bedroom windowsill :) The bag will come off once they start to emerge from the soil :)
Now, they won't be mature enough to fruit for about 6-10 years, and they won't come true, and may not even be edible at all, but it's fun to try anyway! And who knows, I might even end up with a delicious new variety! :)

timeline! :)
From thinking it might be about a week ago, to realising it was definitely a , to this morning (the final 3 pics) :)
I planted this 3 or 4 years ago, as part of an assignment for the course from :)
I'd begun to think that it might have been a foolish place to plant it, not enough sun, or too much competition from the plants in the same bed (which are coming out soon, and going to the !)
However, it's finally given me its first, and so far only, blossom! :)
With a bit of luck (and pollinators, and good weather!) I may just get my first peach from it this year! :)

Just found this on the back of the dish brush in my kitchen sink! Not a clue how it got there, but took it outside to this right away! :)
