Year 3 had a fantastic visit to Colchester Castle! They began their trip with a tour of the castle vaults underneath the castle and learned how a Roman temple once stood where the castle is now. They also explored the museum, where they looked at lots of different Roman artefacts, and had a successful attempt at constructing a Roman villa. The children all enjoyed themselves and represented the school perfectly.

Huge thanks go to Canvey Island First Responders for the time given to our Year 6 pupils in teaching them essential First Aid skills. A very informative session and one that the children will remember. Our thanks also go to parents who helped to raise funds for this organisation.

Year 6 have had the most amazing residential and even finished their trip visiting the room where Winston Churchill played billiards and left his lit cigar on the wood whilst he took his shot, leaving scorch marks. Our World War 2 hero! Bawdsey Manor used to be a radar station during the war. Such a memorable experience for our Year 6 pupils - 3 days of fun filled activities and memories to last a lifetime. I'm sure they will all sleep VERY well tonight!! A huge thank you to Mrs Warner and the Year 6 team for the time given to this trip, it is very much appreciated by all.
