Our talented writers have been hard at work! โœ๏ธ
Vinelysia and Akira have created fantastic persuasive leaflets all about life at Bridge School. Their writing was thoughtful, engaging and full of brilliant ideas about what makes our school such a special place to learn. Well done to both of them for their excellent effort and creativity! ๐ŸŒŸ

What a fantastic afternoon at our Colour Run today! ๐ŸŒˆ
There were smiles, laughter and plenty of colour from start to finish. Thank you to all of our parents and families who came along after school to support the event and make it such a success. We loved seeing everyone having so much fun together! Thank you for providing the paint.

Pelham has written a fantastic story inspired by his class book study of How to Train Your Dragon. His creativity, imagination and storytelling really impressed usโ€”what a brilliant piece of writing! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ“šโœ๏ธ

๐Ÿ‰ Dragon spotted at home! ๐Ÿ‰

Tillie has been busy getting creative and has made an amazing dragon diorama at home as part of our class book study of How to Train Your Dragon. The detail and imagination thatโ€™s gone into this is fantastic โ€” it looks like the perfect home for a dragon!

Brilliant work, Tillie. We love seeing learning continue beyond the classroom. ๐Ÿ‘โœจ

We were delighted to welcome Bob and Trina from Guide Dogs UK, along with the wonderful Winston and Barney ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’›

Pupils learned how guide dogs support people who are blind or visually impaired, how they are trained, and why it is so important not to distract a working dog. An inspiring and eye-opening assembly, brilliantly arranged by one of our Year 6 pupils.

Thank you for a fantastic visit.

Year 5 have completed their Moon Buggy toys for children aged 9-10 years old.

Product specification were as follows:

โ€ข It must move using an elastic band โ€˜pull backโ€™ mechanism
โ€ข Have 4 wheel and 2 axels
โ€ข The dimensions must not exceed an A4 piece of paper
โ€ข Be strong and robust to withstand regular play (on the moonโ€™s surface)
โ€ข Include a chair for an astronaut
โ€ข Resemble a moon buggy and include features that a real Nasa Moon Buggy would have
โ€ข Be appealing to children aged 9-10 years old

Pupils learnt about: potential and kinetic energy; the โ€˜pull backโ€™ mechanism; friction and grip; wheels; axels; how the size of wheels and weight of the chassis may affect the performance of the vehicle and tips on how to pitch their product to potential customers.

They designed and made their moon buggies in pairs and then competed against each other to see whose buggy travelled the furthest. Prize โ€“ a rubber chicken!

Well done to all of our Year 3 pupils who took part in the Canterbury Cathedral's St Nicholas Family Service at the weekend. It was truly magical and the children were fantastic!

A massive thank you to Helen Brookes from Canterbury Cathedral who has been working tirelessly to organise the service and visiting schools all around Canterbury practising the songs with the children. We really appreciate you!

Thank you to our staff who gave up their Sunday afternoon to chaperone.

Bridge CEP loves The Arts! Merry Christmas all!

The hall is officially looking festive and fantastic! ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

Our children have been busy creating beautiful decorations using recycled and repurposed materials โ€” all part of this yearโ€™s Eco-Christmas theme. From paper stars to cardboard wreaths, every piece is made with creativity, care, and a little planet-friendly magic. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š

Proud doesnโ€™t even begin to cover it!
