Learning in Forest School is a given. Trying new things, exploring freely, free range curiosity, etc, but having time to just be, to relax, to try something mindful, to spend time with friends... That is sadly becoming rarer outside of the Forest. We're so glad we can give provide the opportunity to do these things.
Weekend plans anyone?
Next week looks like sunscreen and extra water may be needed!

Of course there was no time to take photos! TELT Outdoor Learning Day over and done. Thank you to all the schools who took part!
Five schools enjoyed exploring our Forest School, cutting wood cookies and making medals, watching and feeding the birds, a little bug hunting and insect making, happa zome decorating a bag to take everything home in, a picnic lunch, plus a huge marah mallow around the campfire to end the day!
We hope everyone got home quickly and calmly!

Here's a helpful infographic that helps to tell Grass Snakes from Slow Worms, which are miss-identified often!
If you are lucky enough to spot either of these reptiles in your garden or in a local green space, there's nothing to be worried about - they're as natural and harmless as having a hedgehog or a fox pass through
You can record any you find with Amphibian and Reptile Groups of the UK - ARG UK here:
www.recordpool.org.uk
The Record Pool collects data on herpetofauna (reptiles and amphibians) in the UK and to makes it available, locally and nationally, for conservation purposes.
