Team work makes the dream work! And our pre-school children have been working together as a team today to complete puzzles independently. Taking turns to work out what piece goes where and using their thinking and problem solving skills to create the picture. Well done pre-school!

One of the lovely things about being a pack-away setting is the ability we have to change things around in our rooms. This means we can adapt our continuous provision to the needs of the children as they evolve.
Our baby room had a little shuffle just before the half term break and we are really looking forward to seeing how the babies adapt to and use the new layout next week
We still have some spaces from September for Children age 6 months to 2 years. Get in touch if you would like to come and visit.

Safer sleeping has been a huge focus for us recently following the release of the safer sleeping guidance from the Department of Education. This has also provided us with the opportunity to look at and refresh our sleep areas for all children. We have always taken safer sleeping seriously and the coracle beds that we use for sleeping babies already meet the standards required.
Our bigger children don’t always sleep, but when they do need to recharge their batteries they are provided with a safe, comfortable bed that also meets the required standards and is located in a calm and comfortable area of the room.
Sleep is incredibly important for growing children and research suggests that all children under 3 benefit from rest in the daytime to help them process their experiences, strengthen their memory, regulate their emotions and stay engaged.
A toddler who is well rested can be calmer, more focused and more able to learn through their play and skipping naps too soon can lead to over tiredness, bigger emotions and less engagement, therefore our sleep policy has always focused on their needs.
Our sleeping children haven’t been fazed by any of the changes we have made this week, and have spent the afternoon snoozing and recharging ready to continue their growing.

Over 16,500 families across Kent found out yesterday which primary school their child has been offered for September. This year:
✅ 98.22% have been offered one of their three preferred schools
✅ Over 89% of children have been offered their first preference primary school
For families who did not receive a preferred school this time, this is just the first step in the process. More offers will be made over the coming weeks, with:
📌 Waiting lists automatically applied where eligible
📌 Appeals open until 18 May 2026
📌 A second round of offers on 21 May 2026
If you have questions after receiving your offer, please reply directly to your offer email. You can also find out more about what to do after you've received your school offer on the KCC website: https://loom.ly/MDz4YoI
The deadline to let the school know whether you accept or refuse the place is 30 April 2026.
