💙 Our Open Day yesterday was full of good energy, great questions, and some wonderful people. We loved showing visitors around the labs, running a few hands-on psychology activities, giving a glimpse of some of our research equipment, and chatting with prospective students and their families. Big thanks to our brilliant student ambassadors and psychology staff for making the day so special. 🌟
We’re also delighted to share that we’ve moved up 22 places in the Complete University Guide 2027 rankings for Psychology (now 70th out of 118 nationally). 🥳
Couldn’t make it or have questions after the fact? No worries, drop us a DM and we’ll happily answer any questions about our BSc and MSc courses that we offer.

🚔 Last month, our MSc Forensic & Investigative Psychology students enjoyed a day trip to Kent Police Training College. They learned about the investigation of a murder that occurred here in Kent, learned about fire arms and fire arms officers and spoke to 2 MOSOVA officers who manage violent and s*x offenders in the community.
Just one of the many exciting opportunities on our MSc course, and a great example of how we prioritise applied psychology and real-world learning beyond the classroom. 🙌

Wow - what an amazing night of celebration we had yesterday where we had a proper send-off for our lovely third-year students and marked the end of the academic year.
The staff-student social, also known as the wrap party, was filled with fun games, including a CCCU Psychology custom Jackbox Party game, with some answers best not shared on our social media 🤣 (although scroll until the end for one of the drawings). We also had an award ceremony, and, amazingly, a song made and written by Senior Lecturer Dennis Nigbur, which touched everyone and even brought a few tears. We even had a champagne dress-up! 🍾
Thank you to everyone who came along and made it so special. Moments like this, and the people who make them, are what make Psychology at CCCU so special. 🫶
We will definitely miss our third-year cohort, but we are very much looking forward to celebrating with you at graduation.
CCC you!

🏰 A day at Dover Castle always reminds us how much psychology can be found in the places we build and preserve.
This year, Dennis Nigbur (Senior Lecturer in Social Psychology) led another field trip to explore Dover Castle as part of his BSc Year 2 module *Psychology of Nations.* The castle is well placed for exploring important questions in social psychology, particularly how cultural and national identities are expressed through buildings and artefacts, and how these have developed over time.
Huge thanks to Module Lead Dennis for organising again, and to the two additional staff members who came along this year and helped make the day such a smooth one. 👏

🎉 Dissertations handed in = time to celebrate!
Join us at the Psychology Wrap Party where we’re honouring the hard work of our final-year students (and letting off some end-of-semester steam). Games, awards, and good vibes; all Psychology students and staff are very welcome! 🎓✨
