The children in our Kindergarten celebrated Whitsun last week.

In the Christian tradition, the white dove is a symbolic image of the Holy Spirit, but it is not necessary to ascribe to a particular religion to appreciate the message or join in the Whitsun celebration. Some choose instead to think of the doves as symbolising the spirit of truth.

So in celebrating Whitsun, we celebrate the individual light of each human being, our own uniqueness. We celebrate this within ourselves but also honour these qualities in others, knowing that our combined lights bring us together in empathy, understanding and a commitment to truth. Whitsun is a festival of communication and to communicate with truth often takes courage in today's world. If we can honour the spirit of this festival and hold this truth in our hearts, then the essence of the dove, the symbol of peace, will grow within each of us, our communities and the wider world.

SPRING FAIR

30TH APRIL | 11am - 4pm | ยฃ2 Adult, Children Free

Our Spring Fair is a bustling colourful wonderland of handcrafted gifts and crafts, scrumptious home made foods, and traditional games.

Children and the young at heart will enjoy testing their skills on the outdoor games - Splat the Rat and our Strawberry boats. The brightly coloured ribbons on our maypole will twist and turn as we weave in and out (creating beautiful patterns and the occasional knot) accompanied by beautiful live music.

There will be May Crown making workshops across the day giving both the young and old the chance to adorn their heads with beautiful spring flowers.

If walking around all the beautiful artisan stalls leaves you tired, you will be able to rest your weary feet and treat yourself to tea, coffee and delicious homemade cake in our beautiful Yurt tea room.

For hungry tummies there will be wood-fired pizza, scrumptious cream teas and strawberries and more!.

For all those who are keen to find out more about our school there will be an Open Classroom and teachers there to answer all your questions. You will also be treated to performances by our children.

Our older children will be running a stall and will also be there to share what they have made and their experience of our school.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Admission: ยฃ2 per adult (children free).

**** SNOW DAY****

Wednesday 8th March

The roads around the school are deep with snow and incredibly slippery making them impassable. We need to consider the safety of our children and staff both in terms of their own journeys and in terms of ensuring that emergency vehicles could access the school if necessary. We have had to make the decision to keep the school closed today.

We hope you enjoy the snow!
