🤝✨Reconnect & Meet Up: Sometimes, it’s not about meeting for the first time, it’s about reconnecting, catching up, and continuing the conversations that matter. 💬🌟 From inspiring conversations to new possibilities, there’s always something special about bringing people together.

Blast from the Past: Our SENSED Erasmus Plus Project finished with a superb showcase of sensory skills in all forms, from visualisation to acting to food to singing, dancing, and movement. This TPM 3 event, "Teacher Training for SSE Development Competencies" was held at Eartes - Escuela Internacional de Artes del Entretenimiento Málaga, Spain in 24-26 January 2024. This was part of the SensEd project (KA220-ADU-01BD82B7). Warnborough College (Ireland) worked together with Fagskolen Rogaland Stavanger Offshore Technical School (Norway), Esprominho Escola Profissional Minho (Portugal), EARTES - Escuela Internacional de Artes del Entretenimiento (Spain), Associazione Culturale MENO (Italy), Cagdas Youth Drama Academy and National Educational Directorate (both from Türkiye).

📸 We had an amazing few days with a full schedule of activities:
🧩 On the first day, the project leaders, SOTS from Stavanger, Norway, Bergitte Tangen and Kjell-David Blanchard demonstrated some methods on stimulating reading sensorially. Sounds and words and actions combined to create emotive understanding and interpretation of the books.
🧩 Continued with Dr Julian Ng of Warnborough College Ireland with Dr Pamela Hatton and Nina Hopson presented "The Need for Sensory Skills in Education"
🧩 The next day our Spanish hosts, EARTES Isabela González Plata and Adam Pisula demonstrated the power of music on emotions.
🧩 And, our Portuguese partner Adriana Lima, Joao Alves and Rubiélson Athaydes Medeiros of Esprominho Escola Profissional Minho, Portugal developed a workshop on "Body dynamics as a socio-educational tool". They led willing volunteers blindly on a sight-deprived journey in order to heighten other senses.
🧩 Last day, our Turkish partners the team of Cankaya Education Directorate and Cagdas Drama Academy Pınar Özdemir Şimşek, Filiz Dinç, Selda Doğan started with a visualisation and interpretation exercise using painted cards, before encouraging everyone to make their own Turkish-style fluid art.
🧩 We closed with our wonderful Italian partner, MeNO, threw everyone into an adrenaline-session with movement, dance and singing. A particular emotional and poignant moment came with the ‘blank doll’ exercise enacted wonderfully by Savatteri Produzioni dancers Chiara Sardo and Giovanni Geraci, with an accompanying soundtrack by Marco Savatteri.

🥳💐 Kit the Musical by Dr Julian Ng has won The Spirit of the Fringe Award at the inaugural MedFringe Awards!!👏 🎉Congratulations to all amazing cast and crew who worked hard to direct, shape and light the musical into something with heart, humour and love. 🎶 Just watch this space, I’m telling you there’s more from me before I’m done… and life will make the time for the ambitions of a shoemaker’s son!

Kit the Musical World Premiere Kit the Musical is written by Warnborough College - WARNBOROUGH WORLDWIDE CEO, Dr Julian Ng . Its world premiere on 15 July 2026 (with a second performance on 18 July) was sold out and very well-received.

🎭❓ How can art give people a voice and bring communities together?
✨ Kent ArtsCon 2026: A heartfelt thank you to Deirdre Kashdan for being part of this year's KArtsCon. Your expertise, generosity, and support are what make this event possible.
✨ At KArtsCon 2026, Deirdre Kashdan explored how creative projects can give people a voice, raise awareness, and bring communities together. A multidisciplinary artist from Deal on the Kent coast, Deirdre is also an educator and creative mentor with more than 20 years’ experience as a teacher and headteacher. She holds an M.A. in Education and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the University of Kent. As founder of The Missing Project, an arts initiative supporting women affected by the severe mental illness of a loved one, Deirdre shared how art can create space for conversation, connection, and greater understanding.
