The Big Idea Challenge is back — and all it takes is one paragraph to enter.

Do you have an idea that could save the planet, tackle inequality, innovate our lives, showcase creativity, or generate real profit? LaunchPad's Big Idea Challenge, run by Canterbury Christ Church University's Student Enterprise team, is your chance to put it forward.

This competition is designed for students at any stage of the idea — whether it's fully formed or just a spark you haven't had the confidence to act on yet. You don't need a business plan or a pitch deck; a single paragraph describing your idea is all it takes to enter.

Choose the category that best fits your idea:

🎨 Creative
🤝 Community
💼 Freelance
🚀 Innovation
🌱 Sustainability

The winner and runner-up in each category will receive a cash prize, along with tailored feedback to help develop the idea further — making this a low-risk, high-value way to test a concept before committing time and resources to it.

📅 Deadline to enter: 25 October 2026
🏅 Winners announced: 20 November 2026
📩 Enquiries: [email protected]

Open to all students at CCCU's Canterbury and Medway campuses.
