St John's were invited to bring a small choir to sing at 10 Downing Street's Easter Reception on Monday 18th March.
We were also welcomed at Lambeth Palace by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the children sang a song and asked him lots of questions!

Throwback Thursday!
Last Monday, our KS2 choir had a performance at the Gulbenkian; Colyer Ferguson Hall. The pupils have been learning 8 songs this term, including one in Latin! They had a rehearsal during day with the other local schools and saw the amazing auditorium they were performing in. A huge thank you to Kent College for driving us there in their minibuses. The children were amazing and should be extremely proud of themselves.

Year 1 went on a trip for their new topic. They are learning about shops and this term will discover how shopping habits have changed since our Grandparents' time. We saw a bakery, food shops, jewellery shops, newsagents, barbers, hair salons, restaurants, cafes and much more. Sainsbury's is a supermarket because it has a coffee shop, homeware, food and many other sections all in one super store!

St John's remembered those who fought in the war today. We made wreaths and thought about why remembrance day is so important.

Despite another school accidentally setting off the fire alarm during the night, Year 6 continue to impress us with their positivity, enthusiasm and manners!
