This week students have taken part in a rich programme of experiences as part of Activities Week, with Community and Wellbeing a focus of the students time.
These photos shows an insight into the activities that have taken place within the school including baking, board games, yoga, first aid car washing and murder mystery events.

Another fantastic display of athletic endeavour and achievement took place this week at the annual Sports Day. Athletes from all houses across Years 7-12 took part in what was a truly enjoyable day.

The Year 7 and 8 Art Scholars enjoyed a sunny trip to London to visit the Royal Academy of Art’s Summer Exhibition followed by the National Portrait Gallery. They produced some wonderful drawings from the exhibits and had fun trying to guess how much the work was selling for at the Summer Show! They did us proud!

Here is today's Sports Day menu.

Those Year 12 students taking part in the GENE project this year had their third and final workshop day of the year working in the University of Kent teaching laboratories.
Across the three workshop days, expertly organised by Dr David Beal of the School of Biosciences, students have gained experience of protein purification techniques, the chemical modification of antibodies and their subsequent use in the development ELISA test assays for antigen detection. As well as gaining experience of working in the undergraduate teaching laboratories, students have also had the opportunity to quiz current postgraduate students and teaching staff on university life, how to select the right university course and guidance on possible pathways in STEM beyond undergraduate level.
