Fashion textile trends for the next season are matched to botanical specimens in the featured article this week: “Womenswear fabric preview”. Vivid scarlet nasturtiums inspire woven florals, whilst lacy weaves relate to the delicate intricacy of the Indian Pavetta Flower. The message comes with a caution: “In order to save our plants and majestic greenery in the environment decline that we face, we need to produce less, purchase with great consideration and cherish what we have.” The article can be found in Textile View Magazine 128 pp. 128-141.

Glass can be a fascinating and innovative medium for artistic expression. The featured article this week is “Playing with fire”, which explores the techniques and creative vision of working with glass through the work of artists who will be exhibiting at the Collect International Art Fair for Modern Craft and Design at Somerset House, London from 27th February to 1st March 2020.
