On Sunday we visited the amazing Canterbury duck race where we saw thousands of plastic ducks released into the River Stour all to raise money for the Rotary club. We raised money here at Stafford House too, hosting a game of “Guess how many ducks are in the jar”. Our student Gizem was the winner and her prize was a lovely afternoon tea for two which she enjoyed with fellow student Paula. A perfect weekend spent supporting local events in Canterbury and celebrating all together 🐤🦆🦢☕️🍰

International night 🥳🥳🥳🥳 the best way for our students to get together and EXPLORE eachothers culture. We had food, music and traditional dress to represent everyone’s country and it was so much fun to learn about !

Cooking traditional food is one of the students favourite things to do and this week we had Colombian food 😍 And yes, it was as tasty as it looks! This is the best way to merge cultures, try yummy food and get to experience a slice of people’s home country 🇨🇴❤️

We headed to Cambridge on Saturday and spent a lovely sunny day walking the cobbled streets, soaking in the rich history and exploring the weekend markets and shops! Some students even went punting along the River Cam! A wonderful day trip to remember ☀️🏫💐

This weekend, a couple of our students visited Elham Valley for an afternoon of cream tea, exploring and fun! We visited the house that Audrey Hepburn lived in and her school, and really took in the charm of a traditional English village. A lovely experience for all! 🌲☕️🍰⛅️

With the beautiful weather we’ve been having this glorious bank holiday the residence has really come alive! A picnic in the park and all the students hanging out, chilling, cooking and eating a big Sunday meal together! We couldn’t have had a better few days! ☀️🧺🌼🌸

Birthdays are so special and at Stafford house we love to celebrate them! Our student Khaled turned 22 this weekend so we had a lovely evening of painting, cooking and eating traditional food, chatting and having a great time as a group 😊 Such a different experience from the students past birthdays but, hopefully one to remember !🎉🥳🎂🎈

One of the benefits of living in Canterbury is the number of great coffee shops. Our students love Coffee Club, sharing coffee and cake together while practising their English and Teastones Tea Rooms certainly had lots of delicious treats to enjoy.

Our students love playing football as part of their weekly activity programme! It’s such a fun way to let off some steam and get a bit competitive with each other. Always a great turn out and so much fun ⚽️🥅🏃🏽
