Wincheap Foundation Primary School is situated on the outskirts of Canterbury on a large site with its own playing fields and within easy walking distance of the city centre. Our school offers a broad and balanced curriculum with an emphasis on sport and expressive arts. There are 400 pupils on roll aged between 4 and 11 years and within the school there is a speech and language department which supports children with communication difficulties in a warm, welcoming setting which encourages their inclusion into mainstream activities. We endeavour to meet the individual needs and abilities of all our pupils within a friendly and thriving environment.

Good evening from Carroty Wood Year 6 2026! The children arrived safe and sound and extremely excited to be here. They have since unpacked and made their own beds and explored the woods! After a huge meal of sausages and Yorkshire puddings, they are now off to play manhunt and go swimming! Hoping to wear them out ready for bed! More to follow soon!

As you know, Wincheap School is a nut-free school. We have a number of pupils in the school who have life-threatening food allergies. There are also many allergies in school that can make pupils unwell if they come into contact with their allergen.

We know that many parents like to celebrate birthdays and other occasions with special sweet treats. Moving forward, we would ask that these are no longer sent into school to be shared with classmates. If you would still like to celebrate your child’s special day, we would encourage the use of non-food items such as stickers, pencils, themed rubbers, etc.

Thank you in advance for making our school environment safe for all pupils.

Dear Parents and Carers,

It’s almost time for our last Enrichment Day of this academic year, which will be held on Tuesday 14th July 2025. Once again, children will be offered a range of activities to get stuck into, which they will begin to choose from very soon!

Children are welcome to wear non-uniform in exchange for a donation of £1, which will go towards valuable resources for future Enrichment Days. Please send in all donations via Parent Pay; if you need a reminder of how to access this, please speak to the office, who will be happy to help you.

Thank you and best wishes,

The Enrichment Team - Miss Davis & Mr Sutcliffe.
