There’s more to celebrate at The King’s School this week as pupils have achieved a record breaking set of GCSE results, once again putting the school among the top academic performers nationally. We’re immensely proud of this year’s cohort for a great set of GCSE results, and for everything they have contributed so far to life at King’s.

A huge congratulations to Jay (SH), who has secured a place at the Royal Academy of Music in London to continue his studies as a harpist.

Supremely talented, Jay has made a huge impression with his musicianship during his time at King’s, and we’re delighted to see him take the next step in his musical journey at one of the world’s leading conservatoires.

We’re proud to share that Daria (BY) enjoyed an excellent Results Day, achieving 4 A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Russian and Computer Science.

Daria will now head to the University of Bath to study Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, with a professional placement or study abroad year.

A brilliant achievement, Daria, and a very exciting next chapter. Congratulations from everyone at King's 🎓

A brilliant set of results for Augustin (MR), who achieved A*s in Economics, Geography, Mathematics and his EPQ.

His next step takes him to University of Cambridge, where he will study Land Economy, bringing together many of the subjects he has excelled in at King’s.

A huge well done, Augustin. We’re looking forward to seeing what you make of the next chapter! 🎓

Our outgoing Head Scholar, Dora (MT), also had a tremendous Results Day, achieving straight A*s in Chemistry, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics.

She will now head to University of Cambridge to read Natural Sciences.

We’re proud to share that our outgoing Captain of School, Bea (WL), enjoyed a fantastic Results Day, achieving A*s in English, French, History and her AS Level EPQ.

Bea will now head to Lincoln College Oxford, to read History.

⛵ At the end of July, Kings Sailing supported the NSSA National Youth Regatta at Downs Sailing Club in Deal. Over 200 boats competed across 4 championship courses over 5 days, supported by over 150 volunteers, 25 RIB safety boats and 4 yachts as committee boats.

Four Kings sailors competed for the Kent team: Daniel, Dora, Athena and Oscar. For Daniel, Dora and Athena, this marked their final opportunity to represent the school after 5 years of involvement in sailing at Kings. What a way to end!

With near-perfect sailing conditions and some great results from all four sailors, Kent finished the week victorious, regaining the team trophy.

Daniel was also awarded the Kings Sailing Pennant for his contribution to sailing life at Kings School. Fittingly, Oscar, racing in the same fleet, will take on the captaincy at Kings from Daniel. Big shoes to fill indeed.
