Giving Day is here! 🎉

Just in – Jude Lowson (Head) has said that if we reach 150 donations by 8pm tonight, she will join our talented musicians for a special performance at this evening’s Jazz on a Summer Sunset concert.

It’s a promise she makes with equal parts enthusiasm and trepidation, so do please help her to keep her word. Every gift brings us one step closer.

Year 4 recently enjoyed a wonderful morning at The King's School Canterbury, International College, taking part in their Environment Morning. ☀️

With glorious weather, pupils set off on a treasure hunt, collecting natural materials to create their own figures from twigs and leaves. They also explored the beautiful wildlife garden, searching for insects and studying them up close with magnifying glasses, even spotting newts in the pond!

Members of the International College organised a range of engaging activities, including making seed bombs and crafting “pet octopuses”.

It was a fantastic, educational experience, and the Junior King’s pupils were exemplary throughout. 🌿✨

Our wonderful Year 6 pupils have arrived safely and are settling into an elegant 18th-century château in the heart of northern France.

They have a packed programme of exciting activities ahead, with plenty of opportunities to explore the local area, experience French culture, and take part in a range of fun and engaging experiences. There will also be time for outdoor adventures and activities within the stunning grounds.

We’re sure this will be a truly memorable trip filled with new experiences, learning and lots of smiles 💫

🎓This morning, we celebrated a very special moment at Little Barn Nursery as our oldest children marked their graduation ahead of moving up to Reception this September.

Looking incredibly smart in their caps and gowns (with a few charming wardrobe refinements along the way! 😊), the children performed a wonderful song before proudly receiving their certificates. After a quick photo in front of the Class of 2026 backdrop, it was time for the moment they had all been waiting for, the traditional cap toss! 🎉

It was a truly memorable occasion, filled with joy, pride and excitement for the journey ahead. We couldn’t be prouder of all they have achieved and can’t wait to see them flourish as they take their next step. ❤️

🏅Last Friday, our Nursery and Pre-Prep pupils enjoyed two fantastic Sports Days, each filled with energy, smiles and plenty of team spirit. From the very first race to the final cheers, the children showed great enthusiasm, determination and a wonderful sense of fun across all the activities.

A big thank you to DE Photo for capturing so many special moments and the true spirit of both events. 😀

Sporting success all around last week! 🏃‍♂️🎾

We were delighted to take a squad of 30 pupils to the Kent County Athletics Championships at the Julie Rose Stadium, where they competed across a wide range of track and field events with energy, determination and fantastic team spirit. It was a brilliant day for Junior King's athletics, with pupils showing real focus and confidence throughout.

There was plenty to celebrate, with standout performances including gold medals for Ivan (U14 200m), Jack (U14 1500m), Ted (U14 High Jump) and Gabrielle (U13 100m), as well as a superb double from Philippa (1st U12 75m, 2nd U12 150m). Freddie (2nd U14 100m) and our relay teams also impressed, alongside multiple podium finishes across the squad.

Off the track, congratulations to all pupils who took part in the LTA Kent Primary Schools Doubles Championship at Bromley Tennis Centre, representing Junior King’s so brilliantly. The school was one of very few to be represented by both boys and girls in all six playing categories at the finals, a fantastic achievement. Special mention goes to Marie and Kathie, who won the championship, putting on a true masterclass in green ball doubles, winning all their matches and taking the final 10–3. 🎾🏆

These results, alongside many personal bests, highlight the continued strength of sport at Junior King's. Well done to all involved, and best of luck to our national athletics finalists heading to Birmingham next month! 💪🥇

Our boarders have been making the most of some fantastic activities! Year 8 enjoyed an action-packed paintballing trip full of teamwork and friendly competition, while our younger pupils embraced adventure high up in the trees at Go Ape, showing great confidence and enthusiasm. 🌳

The children encouraged one another throughout, with their positive spirit and support on full display, qualities that continue to define the boarding community.

Wishing the Junior King’s community a restful and enjoyable exeat weekend. ✨
