We have enjoyed a fantastic final day in Barcelona.

The morning began at FC Barcelona’s training ground, where the students completed a highly rewarding two-hour session with yesterday's coaching staff. Following training, the group enjoyed some downtime at a local shopping centre—though whether all their purchases will fit into their suitcases remains to be seen! We then returned to the hotel to prepare for our concluding fixtures of the tour.

The Year 10 team delivered an outstanding performance to win their match 4–2. The team's cohesion and technical skill were exceptional throughout. Tia recorded a impressive hat-trick, while Amelia demonstrated impressive composure under pressure to score from the penalty spot despite local supporter distraction, earning her the Player of the Match award.

Despite a reduced squad following injuries in the previous match, the combined Year 9 and 11 team produced an exceptionally determined display to secure a 5–0 victory. Goals were scored by Emma, Zara (2), and Maddie (2). In recognition of her leadership as the sole Year 11 representative on the pitch, the Year 9 players unanimously awarded Emma Player of the Match.

The journey back to the hotel was filled with celebration—a fitting end to an unforgettable trip.

A massive well done and thank you to Year 10 for organising a very successful Macmillan bake sale on Tuesday with queues of students (and staff) for the entirety of break time.

They raised £351.84 in the 20-minute breaktime!

We played our first matches last night. The Year 10's won their game 5-0 (Alicia 2, Tia 3). The team showed their strength and teamwork against a really physical side. Paloma was awarded player of the match.

The Year 9's/11's had a really tough game but battled to the end, with the final score 2-0 to our opposition. Player of the match was awarded to Polly who had a great chance in front of the goal, which bounced off the cross bar.

Today we were up for a 5.30am breakfast before heading back to training, thankfully the FC Barca coaches have extended our training session today to make up for the session yesterday that was called off after 30 minutes due to flooding.

We play our final matches this evening.

Barcelona day 2 update - after a long day yesterday we were all keen to get some sleep! This morning after breakfast we headed across Barcelona to our training facility which is right next to Camp Nou. Where we are heading after lunch.

We seem to have brought some rain with us, but at 26 degrees it's still very warm.

We have our first matches tonight so will send an update of the scores afterwards.
