Woodpeckers Nursery is growing, and we are excited to welcome two passionate Early Years Practitioners to join our nurturing, child-centred team.

We are currently recruiting for:

👶 Baby Room Practitioner

(Baby room experience preferred)
Supporting our youngest children with nurture, secure attachments, routines and early developmental play.

Supporting children through imaginative learning experiences, early communication, social development and school readiness.

What We’re Looking For

We are a seeking practitioner who:

✨ Have a genuine passion for early years education
✨ Enjoy planning creative, engaging and purposeful activities
✨ Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families
✨ Are confident working within the EYFS framework
✨ Bring energy, kindness and professionalism to their role
✨ Value teamwork and a positive working culture

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or working towards) preferred.

We can’t wait to meet the next wonderful practitioner to join our Woodpeckers family 💛

As we get ready to start back for a new term tomorrow, we wanted to share a little bit of what we got up to last term!

We had lots of fun celebrating Valentine’s Day ❤️ The children enjoyed talking about the people who are special to them and made some lovely cards for those they love.

We also finished our bird watching and healthy eating topics — although we’re still enjoying keeping active with our exercises during circle time (which the children love joining in with!).

We’re really looking forward to another fun term ahead! ✨

We have revamped our rooms, to give the staff a well deserved staff room, which will allow the staff to have a quiet 5 minutes,we are looking for some breakfast type bar stools, can anyone help us, please 🙏

Over the past two weeks at nursery, we have continued exploring our bodies and have become confident in naming different body parts! 🧠✨

We finished our bird-watching topic by talking together about the different birds we had seen in our garden and local area. The children loved sharing their ideas and listening to one another. This linked beautifully with our amazing activity of making bird biscuits, where they carefully mixed and shaped the ingredients, showing great teamwork and care for nature. 🐦The birds definitely enjoyed eating these in the garden!🍪

We also celebrated National Handwriting Day by taking part in fun fine motor activities to help develop strong hands for early writing. ✍️

It’s been such a fun and busy couple of weeks!❤️

We have been donated this beautiful dolls house, but unfortunately it's too big for us, so we would like to rehome it, I can get more photos next week. It is a lovely house 🏠
