We gave the Weekly Sewing Group- Morning a push, and told everyone 'you are making a coat!'

Almost everyone doubted if they could, yet it's only the 3rd session and coats are getting completed today!

Last weekend, we spent the day - Saturday with the Dover Council Pride in Place team, for their Autumn Fayre at St Radigund's community centre. We led the Arts session and what amazing creativity we had at our station all day, making custom Halloween Masks with families and young people.

Another wonderfully creative week..

Our new students have been exploring fashion through paper and fabric, experimenting with colour, texture, shape and silhouette to bring their ideas to life.

We love seeing each young creative make their own choices, combining different fabrics, colours and textures to produce something completely individual. There are no limits to their imagination, and these beautiful designs are only the beginning.

Are zips difficult to insert? Not according to our young creatives! 😀

Our Year 2 Home Education Fashion class spent this morning learning how to insert zips, and when we asked how they found it, their answer was: “It is too easy!”

We absolutely love that.

It shows what can happen when we break complex techniques into clear, manageable steps. We use an inclusive approach to teaching meeting each young person where they are and giving them the time, guidance and encouragement they need and even the most difficult skills can feel achievable.

We are incredibly proud that they can insert zips confidently. Another brilliant sewing skill mastered!

The most beautiful smiles happens in our sessions!

Our Home-Ed fashion school- studio next resumed today and how happy we all are to have the class back... and also have new creatives join us.. such a lovely first day back!

We run 2 sessions every Friday (morning and afternoon (. The morning session is now full, and the afternoon session has only 3 places left..
