Do you know a young person with a passion for science, technology, engineering or maths?

The Big STEM Challenge 2027 is now open for entries, inviting children and young people to showcase projects they’ve completed at school, at home or through clubs.

Whether they’ve designed an app, built a robot, carried out an experiment or investigated a fascinating topic, this is their opportunity to share their ideas, gain recognition and compete for cash prizes.

Finalists will be invited to present their projects at the Big STEM Showcase 2027 at Discovery Park.

A Reminder....

📢 Sixth Form Enrolment Day – Monday 24 August

We look forward to welcoming our new Sixth Form students to The Archbishop’s School on Monday 24 August, between 10:00am and 12noon.

This is an important part of the enrolment process, giving students the opportunity to:

✅ Finalise their subject choices.
✅ Meet members of the Sixth Form and Admissions teams.
✅ Prepare for the start of the new academic year.

What to bring:
📄 A copy of GCSE results.
🪪 Valid identification (passport, birth certificate, or student ID).

Students should also be prepared to have their photograph taken for their school lanyard.

Please ensure students arrive during the times stated above and enter via Main Reception.

🎓 GCSE & Level 2 BTEC Results Day 2026

Students can collect their results during this time:

📝 Can’t attend in person?

A friend or family member may collect your results on your behalf, provided they bring:

✅ Written permission from you
✅ Valid photographic ID confirming their identity

📄 Statements of Results can also be collected once the school reopens on 03 September 2026.

The Archbishop’s School would like to congratulate our Sixth Form students on today’s examination results. 👏

We have been immensely proud of their leadership and contribution to our school community throughout their time at The Archbishop’s School and we are delighted to celebrate their success. 🎉

Special mention goes to our three highest achieving students who gained A*A*A, Dist*Dist*Dist, and A*AB respectively. ⭐

38% of our students obtained an A or A* or equivalent in at least one of their subjects. There were A or A* or equivalent grades in Art & Design, Arabic, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Criminology, Law, Mathematics, Sociology, and Sport.

We have students going on to study a wide range of subjects at university including medicine, chemistry, sports journalism, law, business management, and physiotherapy. 🎓

Whether going to university, taking up an apprenticeship, going out into the world of work, or enjoying a gap year, we know that they will continue to make the school proud by serving their communities, sharing their talents and showing what exceptional people they have become. 💛

Mr. Elliott, Headteacher, said "our students continue to amaze and inspire me with their hard work and dedication, leading to some truly brilliant outcomes, we could not be prouder of them all". 💙

As students move on from The Archbishop’s School, we kindly ask families to return old school uniform and school resources that may still be at home, including textbooks, exercise books, calculators, and other equipment.

📅 Items can be returned to Main Reception from 03 September 2026.

If you have any second-hand school uniform that is no longer needed, we would be delighted to receive donations to help support other families within our school community.

At our school, we believe that together with God, we enable all to flourish and fulfil their potential. Breakfast Club is just one of the ways we offer support to every child in helping them start the day feeling nourished, confident, and ready to learn.

It also provides an opportunity for students to spend time with friends in our inclusive and caring community ahead of a busy day of learning.

We hope to see many more of our students join this club when we return in September!
