Student of the Fortnight...

Congratulations to Daisy in Year 12 Photography for her outstanding work exploring long exposure photography! 📸

As part of their A Level studies, students have been experimenting with longer exposure times to create distortion and motion blur effects. Daisy’s first photo shoot demonstrates excellent creativity and technical skill, producing a series of striking distorted portraits using this challenging technique.

National Poetry Champion!

We are incredibly proud to share that Kairo has been crowned the Poetry by Heart 2026 KS4 Freestyle National Champion!

After being selected as a finalist from over 147,000 entries nationwide, Kairo travelled to London to compete at the Globe Theatre, where his mature and emotional performance of ‘Remains’ by Simon Armitage earned him first place in his category.

🎨 Student of the Fortnight

In Year 8 Art, students have been learning about proportion when drawing portraits. As part of their homework, they were challenged to complete the missing half of a celebrity portrait, carefully applying the skills they have developed in class.

A huge congratulations to Olivia, whose outstanding work impressed us all. Her attention to detail, accuracy and creativity made her portrait stand out, earning her the title of Student of the Fortnight!

Well done, Olivia, on your fantastic achievement. We are very proud of your hard work and dedication. 👏

Our now Year 8 students had an incredible Enrichment Week trip to France, staying at Le Château de Warsy and enjoying a packed programme of cultural, historical and fun experiences.

What a fantastic way to finish the school year!

🎉 Our biggest ever Careers Fair was a huge success!

With 43 exhibitors, 62 industry professionals and outstanding student engagement, the event provided invaluable insight into a wide range of education, training and career opportunities. Even better, 100% of surveyed students said they found the event useful.

🐧🦭 Our Year 8 students had a fantastic time on their annual trip to the Nausicaá Sea Life Centre in France in June!

From exploring incredible marine exhibits to practising their French during a visit to Cité Europe, it was a day full of learning and fun.
