Today's Freshers' Fayre was a great opportunity for learners to get a taste of campus life, and to see what support, progression routes and activities they can take advantage of over the next two years. π
The Sixth Formβs commitment to student wellbeing was also evident, with dedicated groups invited to talk about mental health support, financial advice, and academic guidance.

The atmosphere at EKC Canterbury Sixth Form was filled with excitement and pride as the first A Level students received their results, marking a significant milestone since the Sixth Form College opened in September 2022.
For many learners, they are already looking forward to their future, and are now taking their next step into a world theyβve planned for throughout their academic journey. π

First ever results day for EKC Canterbury Sixth Form - Canterbury College
The Sixth Form lecturers welcomed learners into the College to receive their results, offer support on their progression, and celebrate their hard work and achievements.

"My dream is to be a journalist. In my English A Level I chose to do a journalism module, my tutor use to be a journalist which meant we had insider knowledge. This sparked my love for journalism, I find writing really interesting and like to find out all the gossip whilst reporting stories.
"I felt well supported throughout my time here and I'm much more resilient and confident now than I was when I started."
Ruby is chasing her dreams of becoming a journalist, by studying English Litereature with Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, University of London. π
She achieved grades of A*BA in Textiles, English Literature and Art, an incredible achievement. π

"I have been accepted to UWE Bristol to study Architecture and Interior Design. I've always enjoyed art and wanted to use my skill in a practical way. I hope one day to become a successful Architect.
"The tutors here believed in me, I have come a long way since school."
Abbie studied A Levels Maths, Art and Graphics, taking her to The University of the West of England to study a course she is truly passionate about. π

"I saw on UCAS that my offer changed to an unconditional offer in Criminology at both my first and second choice Uni. I am not sure what I would like to do as a career but I am interested in Law, Finance and maybe Teaching.
"Coming to college has really helped my confidence, I was so shy when I started but soon made friends. The tutors are really friendly and being on first name terms with them helps."
After studying A Level Politics, Criminology and Psychology, Ella is now going to the University of Kent to study Criminology or Classics. βπ
