Join us next month as Dr Paraskevi Triantafyllopoulou shares more about the Safer Online Lives: Internet Use and Safety for People with Intellectual Disabilities project.

The online session, which is part of our ongoing Tizard Research Seminar Series will:

➡️discuss the findings from the Safer Online Lives project

➡️ explore the online experiences of adults with Intellectual
Disabilities, as well as the experiences of their careers and professionals working with them

➡️ look at the codevelopment of a bespoke app used by people with intellectual disabilities to navigate different potential online scenarios

Our next Tizard Research Seminar Series of the 2023-2024 academic year will be on January 25th from 5:15-6:15pm. This event will take place in-person. Our presenter will be Professor Laurence Taggart joining us from the Ulter University and he will be discussing "Supporting acute hospitals to implement the Oliver McGowan Learning Disability and Autism Training: Using Systems Approach".

Autism Online Journal Club – Tizard Centre in collaboration with PARC

This presentation will be delivered by Nathan Keates and Krysia Waldock.

Nathan is a lecturer in Health and Social Care at University of Sunderland in London. His research explores autistic people’s wellbeing, and his PhD explored the impact of improv classes on autistic people’s anxiety.

Krysia (kri-shah) is a PhD Candidate (Tizard Centre) and Research Assistant (iCSS) at the University of Kent. Their research interests include: disability and neurodivergence and (non)-religion; autistic voice in academia; cyber security education in schools.
