Cannock Music Centre Wind Band is off to a fine start at rehearsals this morning in preparation for their concert on May 5th with the CMC Big Band and we are also excited to welcome Great Wyrley Concert Band as we join together for our performance including some massed items.

We wanted to update all of our parents, carers and musicians with some important information; the date for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral has now been announced as Monday 19th September. This is going to be an official Bank Holiday, and the DfE have therefore advised that schools and partners (like our Music Service) are expected to close in line with this.

This means that our music groups that normally rehearse on a Monday will not take place next week. These groups are at the Burton Music Centre, Lichfield and Rugeley Music Centre, and Stone Stringsters at Stafford Music Centre. They will recommence on Monday 26th September 2022.

All of our other Music Centres will start up as planned.
