Love playdough!
It can be incorporated into so much of our learning.
We have made and looked at patterns, rolled and cut into different shapes and sizes, used our hands and described what it feels like ‘cold’ ‘squishy’.
We have used it for counting and creating.
We also enjoyed reading the book “Little Acorn”. ❤️

This week we have enjoyed soft play and crafting with friends.
Yesterday we found a spider in one of the toy boxes, we got it out to have a look at, the children asked lots of questions about it so we got the book about bugs out to look for more information. We used number recognition to turn to the correct page and we found out what type of spider it was before releasing it outside.
The children have used autumnal coloured paper to stick on their hedgehogs as if it was hiding in the leaves and have used leaves, acorns and coloured pasta to make an autumn face ☺️.

We had a lovely morning walk at the Wolseley centre with our friends last week.
We saw butterflies and bumbles bees.
We had a duck follow us around too 🙈.
Even the sheep came to say hello.
We talked about the changes in the colours from summer to autumn and discussed how some birds find somewhere warmer to go as the seasons change. 🐝🍁🍂🦋🦆🐑🍃🌤

Autumn 🍂 todays tuff tray. We have talked about the colour of the leaves 🍁 in autumn and what animals we might see.
We have counted sticks and spiders and have been practicing number recognition.
We have used tweezers and scoops to find spiders.
We have also read a lovely story called “little bear”. The children enjoyed pointing out the different animals in the story ☺️
