👋Over the past few months, we have quietly grown in a way that felt both necessary and natural... so I want to properly introduce the two similar but different arms of Halliwell Tuition!
1️⃣ - Halliwell Tuition continues to provide personalised, confidence-building Maths and English support for primary-aged children who are attending school but need something more individual, calm and understanding outside the classroom.
2️⃣- Halliwell Hub - Alongside the tuition, I have developed a specialist, more emotionally informed part-time alternative provision for children who cannot currently attend school due to anxiety, Emotionally Based School Avoidance, ADHD, AuDHD or related emotional needs.
😎 A lot of these things are something that a lot of our tuition pupils were dealing with - for example, children with ADHD often feel underconfident, so our confidence focuses really gel with them!
This Hub offers gentle, relationship-led education during the school day, with a strong focus on:
🔆emotional safety and regulation
🔆rebuilding confidence
🔆 readiness to learn
🔆 small, meaningful steps towards re-engagement
🆘It also supports families with paperwork, reaching out to educational settings and bringing other educational support services together around the child - all difficult when dealing with the SEND system
🫶Children do not need a formal diagnosis to be supported... many are awaiting assessment or have unmet needs that are already impacting attendance.
😀 Both arms are built on the same ethos of relationship-led, child-centred, emotionally informed and flexible.
So...
1️⃣- Halliwell Tuition builds confidence and learning alongside school.
2️⃣- Halliwell Hub helps children feel ready to learn again!
📘Most people reading this will still feel tuition is right for them (a lot of our enquiries for Halliwell Hub come from families with 'Personal Budgets' or 'EBSA plans' and is something we are looking at developing with Staffordshire Local Authority)
