Very Special Children

I help NICU graduate babies and young children with developmental / motor delays to move better , become independent and reach their full potential by working together with parents/careers who are ready to make changes.

Hurrah! 🎉 I am on my annual break.
People often say, “Good for you, it’s well deserved!” and I really am grateful. But the
reality behind the scenes looks a little different...

📘 Getting the children ready for the new school year
👵 Visiting family (with all the routines, customs and adjustments that come with it!)
🏡 Giving the house a deep clean and finally tackling my very neglected garden 🪴
🩺🦷 Booking all those overdue doctors’ and dentist appointments for the family
👩‍💼 Catching up with my VAs, accountant and social media team
💳 Chasing outstanding payments for sessions already delivered
📆 Planning my autumn diary and upcoming clinics
🧠 Getting back into my Neurology of Functional Movement course after having to pause it because life got so busy
💻 Recording new resources for online access
🎓 And, for the very first time, assisting on a Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME) training course; something I genuinely feel honoured to be part of.

So yes... it’s an annual break, but not exactly a holiday! 😂
If everything goes to plan, I might just squeeze in 4-5 days to do absolutely nothing... sit
in the sunshine, swim, catch up with friends and simply watch life go by. How perfect
does that sound!

This is so much more than therapy. 💛

At Very Special Children, every child is given the opportunity to achieve the very best possible start in life.

As a Special Educational Teacher and Movement Specialist, Agi doesn’t just focus on helping children move… she builds a relationship with every child and family based on trust, support, and progress.

Every cuddle after a challenge, every smile after a breakthrough, and every milestone achieved together is a reminder that children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and believed in.

Your child deserves someone who sees their potential, celebrates every step forward, and walks alongside your family on the journey to greater independence.

💛 If you’re looking for a different approach to supporting your child with developmental delay, Agi offers tailored 1:1 therapy blocks and a Sunday group in Stone at 10:00am for children under 3 who are not yet crawling or have special educational needs.

Does your child feel uncomfortable lying on their side?

Many of the children I work with dislike lying on their side. They quickly roll onto their tummy or back, arch their body, or do anything they can to get out of the position.

But why is side lying so important?

✨ Helps children sense the midline and develop symmetry while reducing abnormal muscle tone.

✨ It is halfway to rolling and helps develop reaching and functional movement skills.

✨ Improves body awareness, orientation, breathing, and pressure relief.

Sometimes, the position a child avoids the most is the one that can help them develop the skills they need next… 👣
