🐛🦋Caterpillar Life Cycle 🦋🐛

Our children will be exploring the fascinating life cycle of a caterpillar and discovering how it transforms into a beautiful butterfly.

Through stories, creative activities, discussions, and hands-on learning opportunities, the children will learn about the different stages of the life cycle—from egg to caterpillar, chrysalis, and butterfly. This exciting topic will encourage curiosity about the natural world while supporting early science learning, observation skills, and new vocabulary.

I can’t wait to see the children’s wonder and excitement as they learn about one of nature’s most amazing transformations! 🐛✨🦋

🌧️ Because of all the rain we had yesterday, today was the perfect day to go puddle hunting! 💦 The children had lots of fun practising their jumping skills, using both feet to jump and splash in the puddles. 🦶🦶✨

🌳 We explored Cannock Chase and discovered lots of big puddles along the way. The children loved splashing, laughing, exploring, and getting wonderfully muddy together! 🤭💧🍂

🛝 Before heading back, we also stopped at the park for some extra play and adventure. It was a fun-filled day full of smiles, laughter, and muddy boots! 😊🌈

What a lovely day at the farm! 🐐🐇🦆🐖

The children had a wonderful time seeing goats, rabbits, ducks, pigs and donkeys, feeding the animals and exploring the park. Farm visits provide so many valuable learning opportunities, helping to develop communication skills, confidence, curiosity and understanding of the world around them. The children also showed kindness and care towards the animals while enjoying lots of outdoor fun together! 🌿💚

🌸🐣 Happy Easter 🐰🌷

This week we’ve been busy exploring, creating, and celebrating all things Easter! The children loved seeing little lambs and had great fun counting carrots as part of our activities. 🐑🥕 We also started our growing season by planting some potatoes🥔

We’ve talked about new life, springtime, and the importance of kindness 💛

Wishing all our families a lovely Easter filled with happiness, chocolate treats, and special moments together! 🐣🍫🌼

What a fun-filled week we’ve had! 🌿🐣✨

Our adventure started at Forest School, where the children loved exploring the great outdoors—climbing, balancing, and discovering all the wonders of nature! This helped build their confidence, independence, and physical skills, while encouraging lots of chatting, teamwork, and curiosity.

We’ve also been getting into the Easter spirit with a range of exciting activities! From creative crafts to sensory play, the children had so much fun using their imaginations and learning all about seasonal changes and traditions. 🎨🌸

The highlight of the week had to be meeting a real-life chick! 🐥 The children were fascinated, asking lots of questions and carefully observing—such a lovely way to spark curiosity and develop their understanding of the world.

We also enjoyed a peaceful (but very exciting!) forest walk, where the children explored their surroundings, listened carefully, and worked together as a group.

To top it all off, we ended the week at soft play—lots of climbing, sliding, and laughter! This was fantastic for building strength, coordination, and social skills, as the children played and interacted with their friends.
